The place to go for an awesome tattoo

I recently got a tattoo from Rising Phoenix. It was my first tattoo and they made me feel very comfortable. One thing I noticed is everyone was smiling and laughing and that really made me feel at ease! I was scared but everyone assured me it would be over before I knew it. And it was! I absolutely love my tattoo - he did a fantastic job! He explained how to take care of it, gave me instructions, and told me to call if I had any questions. All in all, nice place, nice people, great tattoo, I will go again.

Don't listen to the idiot on the review before this

Here's the thing... this is the only place that I have ever gotten a tattoo at.( I have 7 ) My latest one I got 10/4/09 by Dave. I went in two weeks prior to that to talk to him about what I wanted. He was understanding and totally took into concideration everything that I wanted. This last tattoo is the first real custom tattoo that I have and I am so totally overwhelmed with the work and detail that was put into it. Dave was completely professional and calmed any and all nerves that I had. Dave and Jamie put me completely at ease. I realize that many people expect something the minute they walk in the door but in a place like Rising Phoenix where they hire people based on skill and the love of their art, you might have to wait or hay concept, come back. If you want something not in the flash pages, then you have to expect that it will take time to make it what you want. This is something that is on your body FOREVER, do you really want someone who will just slap something on your skin and do a half ass job by someone who is in it for the money? I think not, that is why I feel that if you want someone who is understanding of the art of a tattoo and has knowledge of what they are doing RIsing Phoenix is the place to go. They are proud of their work and it shows.

Big Mistake - Go to Jade Dragon instead

zero stars! I walked into this place one night looking for one of the tattoo artists to help me finalize a design for a tattoo I wanted. The moron I talked to was obviously not an artist and wanted me to find something similiar on the internet for him to trace. Are you kidding me? You're supposed to be an artist, anyone can trace. Then he explained to me about 5 reasons not to get the tattoo. Nice job buddy. So I took my design to Jade Dragon. Nicest guys ever! Willing to help with anything and walked out the same day with my new tat and I love it! I even talked to the guys at Jade Dragon about Rising Phoenix and they said they had been hearing terrible things about that place and that a lot of the actual artists were leaving. GO TO JADE DRAGON. DO NOT GIVE RISING PHOENIX ANY BUSINESS.
