Dr Durante's expert treatment gave us 3 additional loving years with Bosco, our then 12 year old Boston Terrier! That is why when we rescued aVa, our Bugg (Boston/Pug mix), we immediately made an appointment with AAC! Love you Dr D and staff!

Very disappointed. I brought my bird to Dr. Durante after it had gotten bit by a dog approximately 24 hours earlier. Dr. Durante assured me that my bird would recover, however, within 4 hours of leaving his office, my bird died. I was taken advantage of, misled and given false hope. After having my bird in his office for observation and feeding, Dr. Durante still felt that my bird had more than a 50% chance of survival, even though the bird had not gained any weight, injured itself further by falling inside their cage, and was more listless than when I dropped him off. Dr. Durante gave me false hope and charged me for medicines that were never even able to be used. After discussing this with him over the phone, he refused to be cooperative in any way. Please think twice before taking your bird to be treated by Dr. Durante. I feel that being a professional, he should have been better able to accurately assess my bird's condition and give me an honest answer about his chance of survival. Rather, he took advantage of a pet owner's love for her bird in order to profit.

Best Veterinary Clinic By Far. My pets and I all LOVE Algonquin Animal Clinic. Dr. Durante is the BEST veterinarian I've ever had the pleasure of taking my animals to. He is extremely kind and patient, and very thorough. His staff members are WONDERFUL!! We always feel welcome and like we are visiting old friends. I drive 30 minutes, past many other veterninarians, to go to AAC. I have trusted them with my dogs, geckos, and rats and will continue to trust them with all of my future pets! I would (and do) HIGHLY recommend Algonquin Animal Clinic to anyone who loves their pets!!!!

Dr. Durante saved our dog?s life!. We brought our dog into AAC because we thought he swallowed something. Even though the X-rays didn?t show anything, Dr. Durante told us that some obstructions won?t show and wanted to run some additional tests. The test confirmed that there was an obstruction and surgery was performed later that day. Our dog would have died if not for the thoroughness of Dr. Durante and his staff. He and his staff stayed late and kept us up to date. When we picked up our dog they even gave us their cel phone numbers should we have questions after hours. We drive 45 minutes and pass by 6 other vets on our way here and will continue to do so.

A pets best friend. What a god send Dr. Durante is.. I wanted to change vets and was looking for someone in the area for future use.. Low and behold the future came a week later in the way of a Cockatoo who launched off of his cage and hurt himself.. I called their office and they were able to get me in right away .. I simply adore the staff you can tell that they genuinely like the animals and they call them by their names when they come in and they are very very gentle with them .. The Doc is a wonderful guy again you can see he likes the animals he doesn't look at them as a dollar sign .. He takes his time with them and is extremely honest .. When you walk into the office you are at once at ease ... I trust Dr. Durante completely I know that he knows what he is saying ... So with all that if you need a good caring vet ( even Avian folks ) please take the time to go there and see the facilities you won't be dissapointed in the service and the level of caring they bestow on their patients...

Concerned vet & staff. With various animals over the past 16yrs. & moving 30 mi. away, we continue with this vet. Could be one as good, but not better. Dr. never recommended unnecessary procedures/tests. At a time of "crisis" with our dog, staff gave us their home numbers to use if we felt the need. My own daughter (Paramedic) has stated a wish to be taken there to be treated, if she becomes ill. A true testimonial....

The best vet in the world. Dr Durante has been my family vet for years and has always given the best care and advice possible. His staff is caring and everyone at his office has always gone the extra mile for thier customers. I highly recommed him to everyone

OUTSTANDING. Dr. Durante and his staff are like no other I have ever encountered. They are knowlegable, courteous and always go the extra mile. When I walked in, I read a letter on the wall from a family that said there was a car accident outside the clinic. While the family was transported to the hospital, Dr. Durante took the animals in and tended to their medical needs. The family was visiting from out of town, and they were so grateful. Dr. Durante did not even charge them for bordering the pets due to the immense emotional tragedy of the event. He also volunteers in many areas. My cat had a cancerous tumor which he removed my cat is fine. Another of my cats had torn every ligament in her leg and was not assured she would ever walk again, however now she is running.
