Never again

I broke my lens and sent the camera in for a repair and they fixed it and said my non Kodak battery was the reason. My non Kodak Battery is better than the Kodak battery that came with the camera and it still works fine to this day. But my kid dropping the camera somehow translated to my non Kodak battery broke the camera.
WHy do people lie? Are they paid by kodak to insult any non Kodak item that accompanies the camera?
Where I'm from honesty is the best policy.
