if you want a good italian this ain't it !!!!!. gigi the server was rude and lazy. we were ignored and every aspect of the meal took forever and was a letdown at every turn!! no apologies were offered for the service after complaining. didn't charge us for the tiaramisu which we took home and it was mostly cool whip. it's housed in an old pizza hut and it looks like it, with a coat of paint. got there at 6 with reservations and left at 9 and that wasn't our idea!! floor it past this dump!

Ordinary food, bad service. I love a good family-style Italian restaurant, and the food they deliver at Amalfi pretty much fills the bill. Nothing to complain about, but nothing out of the ordinary, either. However, three visits have convinced me that the service is consistently bad, and they would just as soon I don't come back. I won't.

I won't be back. It took over 10 minutes for me to get a menu. Once I did, it took another 45 minutes for her to bring the meal. She seemed very cold and unfriendly, as did the manager. I felt very uncomfortable the entire time because I just kind of felt the negativity from the host, manager, and waitress. They acted like they were doing me a favor by serving me wine. I left no tip which I don't think I''ve ever done. If service is marginal, I always tip 15%. Always 20% or more for good service.

Don't do it!. I really have nothing good to say and am only giving it a 2 because I reserve the 1 rating for restaurants where I get violently ill. The "cocktail" sauce with the calamari seemed like just ketchup. My salad came with a bruised, mushy tomato and watery lettuce. My entree - the veal saltambocca - was swimming in sauce and was served alongside a frozen vegetable medley and overcooked spaghetti in a tasteless marinara. Oh, and our waitress was creepy.

Standard fare, service lacking and presumptuous. This italian restaurant seems as if it is in a remodeled Pizza Hut but the table are then decorated as if you are in a 4-star restaurant. I felt that the wait staff was snobby and our waitress was not attentive in refreshing drinks. It also took about 30 minutes for our meal to arrive, which seemed odd because the place was practically empty. Also, the menu offers only the standard fare of mostly marinara dishes. I was hoping to find dishes that offered sage butter sauce or lobster ravioli. Overall, I think the locals tend to be loyal to it but I was disappointed.
