Very good experience. I had a very good experience here. I bought my wedding dress here. I walked in 10 minutes before closing and fell in love with two dresses that were floor samples.

The staff was polite and did not mind that I walked in right before closing. I also got a good deal on a dress since I bought the floor sample. I left happy.

A friend, a bride-to-be with high class standards, scoured bridal salons for months in search of the right shop and the right dress, and eventually bought her dress here. Shelley's helped her pick all of the customizations to her gown she wanted and she too had a great experience.

I have not experienced any negativities in this shop.

Great place for bridal accessories. Brides, mothers, bridesmaids and flower girls stop at this West Dundee shop for head-to-toe looks, including jewelry, veils and headpieces

Glad I went here. They were able to have the dress made to fit me (the top was a size 8 and the bottom was a 10, but it was all one dress) because they researched with the designer. I ordered my dress in November 2005, but didn't get married until September 2006 & they were willing to store the dress for me in their temperature controlled basement. I received multiple compliments on my dress & was glad to tell them where I found it!

Also, Shelley was willing to lower the price for us when we showed her we found it cheaper somewhere else.

My only snag was they measured me for my hollow-to-hem with the wrong slip on, so my dress wasn't as full as I wanted it to be (I could've gone with the fuller slip, but then the dress would've been too short).

Personalized attention. Shelly's is a small boutique that strives to give every bride personalized attention. The consultants help you pull dresses and the merchandise arrives when promised. There is an alteration studio upstairs and a custom veil designer that comes in once a month. My dress is one of the most beautiful gowns I have seen and everyone thought it cost a fortune when it really did not. I had a custom veil made to compliment it and could not have been happier with the overall result.

Fantastic. These girls are fantastic. They are very helpful and super patient. It was a bit far from home but their service and great attitude made it well worth it!

I would definitely recommend them. I had a great experience at Shelley's. It was the first and only place I went to get my dress. My consultant was Christina and she was great. She was honest about what looked good and what didn't and had me try on everything so I knew what would actually look good on and not just what I thought I liked. I didn't feel like they pressured me at all to buy my dress the first day and I got 20% off because I did! Shelley was in the salon as well and I ended up buying the 3rd dress I tried on, although I did try on like 15. My dress came in in 5 months and it fits perfectly. The only thing I didn't like is they convinced me to buy a slip which was like $80 and I don't need. But they took it back! Which I guess isn't typically their policy, but I really appreciated that they did. I would definitely recommend!

Great place but make an appointment. Everything I Needed! I'm not use to writing reviews online, but I figure I should start now. Shelley's Bridal doesn't deliver the experience the reviews paint. We had a wonderful experience at the salon. I purchased my bridal gown, bridesmaid dress, and veil at Shelley's. Every visit the girls have made me feel so special. I did take exactly 4 months for the bridesmaid dresses to get in, so I'm glad that we gave ourselves enough time to order. My mother wasn't ready and the consultants tried so hard to see if they could rush a dress, but it wasn't possible. I made an appointment at an expo with the salon, and was glad because they were busy that Saturday. They had run out of the Bridal Gift bags when I came for my first appointment but the girls were so nice to give me one when we were back for bridesmaid. My advice

Very helpful. They were very helpful. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the girl who helped me. She was great!! Definitely call to make an appointment before you come in to look. I did, but others who were there when I was did not make an appointment and some of the staff was complaining. Plus I got preferred treatment since I made an appointment.

Wonderful salon!. What a wonderful salon!!! The staff is very welcoming and made me feel so comfortable!! Don't fall for the complaints, see for yourself! EVERY new bride just wants to be pampered on her special day and shelley's does a wonderful job!

Truly talented. I love this place. Its so nice and the upstairs alterations department is AMAZING! They made my dress fit like a glove. They were just amazing. My sister brought her dress there two years ago so I had to see if they could do the same for me. They were packed when we went but it didnt matter, we were taken care of and the dresses were so pretty and reasonable. Id go there for the best selection and value around the area. And I can't thank the alterations department enough. Truly talented woman up there.
