“The ladies room was a mess, warm beer and the service was slow!”
Mediocrity at best. Fair food, not good. There is too much echo in the place, even if it not crowded, it seems LOUD. Ok for a quick beer, but that's all.
RIP OFF. My girl friend and I order 2 warm beer's. When we were leaving, because the beer was warm, the rude male bartender tells me "it is a $20.00 min". $20.00 minimum on Saturday night! I was so mad. So I must order 4 more warm beer's to get my credit card back. Ridiculous! It is Madison street people, what happened to having A good time only spending a few bucks? If you walk into Healy's using A debit card plan on having 6 beer's . The ladies room was a mess, warm beer and the service was slow!! Not recommended for a bar crawl!
Looks can be deceiving!. Upon first glance, this looks like a sweet place to get some food or just have some drinks and watch the game. Once you go inside you'll realize why it's never more than 1/2 full. Slow and depressing waitstaff, below average food, TVs too far away to be anything other than wall paper, and an atmosphere that can best be described as...funeral home. Healy's was a disappointment in every sense of the word. Hire a better waitstaff and overhaul the menu and maybe you could fill the place!
Forest Park Venues. I find this bar a refreshing spot in the Forest Park / Madison Street area. Great open space with huge windows, good food, service ok. Huge TV. The building itself has alot to offer (jewelry, spas, excercize room upstairs, a Jimmy John's next door).
please don't....
call yourself a REAL irish pub unless you have a MINIMUM of three small "details":
1. Excellent fish & chips (not frozen patties from a grocery store... and overcooked at that!)
2. A respectable pint of Guiness that you know how to pour and serve.
3. Bartenders that ask your name and actually have a personality.
