Bring a blanket

Butler Field is a staple of Grant Park, whether it's Blues Fest or the Outdoor Film Festival. Bring a blanket and food for whatever event you are planning to attend and have a picnic. I like checking out the downtown buildings. At night, they light up and reveal subtleties in the architecture you can't see in daylight. Very interesting. Sometimes the wind off the lake is chilly, so dress accordingly. Also, no booze, sorry.
