The Scene – This low-lit hotel bar is high-energy after work (especially Thursdays and Fridays), when business travelers mix with local lawyer types. THE place to be
by plumloopy
The CitySearch reviewer must have come right when the place opened, because it's quite impressive how GOOD the service considering how popular and packed the place can be. Between the clocks/time atomosphere, the starlit ceiling, the friendly staff and the hip music, this is my preferred place to be in Chicago. The staff is personable and skilled. The management is visible and friendly. When I was there, the manager went out of her way to find us a seat when it became available despite the fact she was obvioulsy being pulled in six different directions. Last time I was there, they'd just introduced appetizers and the ones I had were great! The only problem: now there's no reason to leave!!!
- Pros: Service, Atomosphere/Music, Menu/Drinks
- Cons: The word is out!
