The Scene
Nostalgic for college? Get over it at Hogs and Honeys, where the atmosphere is frighteningly similar to a frat party: lots of bad beer (e.g. Pabst in cans), lots of drunk 20-somethings. Modeled after the New York bar Hogs and Heifers (inspiration for the movie "Coyote Ugly"), this is another Clybourn Corridor creation from Marc Bortz (Circus, Biology Bar, Dragon Room). Walls are plastered with bumper stickers, license plates, neon beer signs and tacky trimmings like bras and panties hanging alongside American flags above the bar.
The Draw
It's a silly, don't-take-yourself-too-seriously kind of fun at this bar. The jukebox blasts '80s flashbacks. The bartenders encourage craziness by pulling girls up to dance on the bar--particularly bachelorettes. You can test your cowboy prowess on the mechanical bull (free rides) where a spotlight shines while onlookers cheer--guys especially seem to like it when two girls ride the bull together.

WORST NIGHT EVER! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! I have been to several of the clubs in the area and always had a great time - Crowbar and Circus. And I work in Streeterville and frequent the bars there as well like Timothy O'Tooles and its always great! But this was the worst experience I have ever had! The bathrooms were disgusting and dirty and out of order at 9pm when the doors opened! The drinks were watered down and the staff was incredibly rude to our whole party! I got to ride the mechanical-bull before it broke and the guy snapped at me telling me not to touch him when I was trying to get on. Then the mechanical-bull broke when the bride-to-be was on it and wasn’t fixed while we were there! They promised a photo and t-shirt for the bride and they didn’t make good on that either! But after the horrible time we had – we decided to leave with almost 2 more hours left on our party package! I would rate this place a negative 5……
Pros: The water down drinks and the dirty non-working bathrooms
Cons: The Rude Staff - Too many women - I dont think there were 10 men in the place!

The only reason that we went to Hogs and Honeys was for the b-ride for my friends bachelorette party and guess what-it broke! The bathrooms were broke, dirty (isn't even the word), no tp and we had the party package for drinks from 9-12. Couldn't even get drinks. We had to leave at 10:30 if we were going to salvage this night. Short story-DO NOT EVER GO TO HOGS AND HONEYS-WASTE OF MONEY AND HUGE WASTE OF TIME! The bar was dirty, small and unprepared for any time of business when it came to its staff.
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: VERY DIRTY, TOO CROWDED AND ALL GIRLS
