“My fav's are all @ the River North salon (cozy and friendly atmosphere).”
“Not exactly customer friendly.”
“Great salon, friendly, and not too pricey.”

Two stories of gorgeous people getting their hair 'did. Samantha is great with the shears! Book with an "apprentice" and save some serious cash.
The Magic of Martine. I loved going to Salon Buzz for an hour of magic called Martine. Martine's spa pedicures are healing for body and soul. I recently found Martine has moved to Studio 110, also on Delaware. I am now continuing the magic with Martine there.
Chicago Hairstylist Joseph Bartucci. Joseph Bartucci is the BEST Chicago hairstylist. He has over 10 year of styling experience in NYC and brings his top notch skills to the salon. He is also great for brides looking for on-site styling on their wedding day.
Corinne is the Best Hairstylist in Chicago. Let me just start by saying how truly thrilled I am with my new stylist Corinne! I found her by accident, I called the salon and didn't know who to see. Corinne couldn't have been a more perfect fit! I absolutely LOVE what she did, my hair looks beautiful! Thank you Salon Buzz!
Excellent haircut from Amanda. I highly recommend Salon Buzz, specifically Amanda if you are looking for an amazing cut. She always gives me the look I want and leaves my hair looking gorgeous, even as it grows out. Plus, the salon is in a great location and has a very fun atmosphere!
Best for Curly Girls. I had the frizziest, curliest most unmanageable hair, or so I thought until Rochelle Shaefer styled it for me. She trimmed it took just the length I wanted and took some of the fullness out. I've gotten Soooo many compliments. She is the best for curly hair. I had my hair done everywhere, even in New York at Salon Diva, the curly girl's mecca, but Rochelle's cut worked out better for me. She had great product recommendations, too.
5-star nail service!! thanks citysearch!!. Nail care worth waiting for!! My recent quest for a new nail care spot has brought me to Martine at Salon Buzz. I read some great reviews on this site and a couple others about Martine and called to book my appt. First of all, the salon is extremely busy and a bit loud. However, when I was escorted to the nail department the atmosphere changed dramatically...the volume went down about a million decibels, the room smelled amazing and all the equipment was glistening from recent sanitation, which put me at ease instantly. Martine's service: AMAZING!! As a regular nail care client, I find myself to be a bit of a nail care connoisseur, lol. I must say Martine's manicure and pedicure made 5-diamond spas seem mediocre!! The attention to detail when shaping my nails was outstanding, her customer service skills are out of control!! Forget about the noise, crowd and intimidating front desk and go see for yourself, you will see how impeccable she leaves your hands and feet. If she's booked, its for a reason...she is so worth the wait!!
Simply the best!. Excellent cut & color services! After an awful color job 2 weeks before at another salon I called a Jackie who had cut my hair before and made an appointment to fix the botched color job. Jackie took 1 look at my hair and explained what had happen in the other salon and she was going to do to restore it to its former glory! I left there with a fabulous color and she even cut off some of the uneven ends that the other stylist missed and blew it out for free. We still have a ways to go to fix some of the damage that occurred at the other salon did but I look 1000 times better and it is all thanks to Jackie! The salon is a in a great location and they really listen to what you want and make you feel comfortable while they work.
BEST COLOR/CUT EXPERIENCE.
I recently went to salon buzz on delaware and had the greatest experience- i walked out looking and feeling 10 years younger. I was met at the front desk by caitlin and i knew i was in good hands instantly. She was very pretty and had her hair done in a beautiful 50's coiffed do, and her hair is the most beautiful copper/red that i've ever seen! Our consultation was great, she really listened to what i liked and disliked, then gave me her ideas. We decided to go lighter and brighter blonde, but still warm and soft. During the service I felt totally pampered by the cute assistants walking around, and talking with caitlin was like chatting with one of my oldest girlfriends! Caitlin was so fun and personable, and she wasn't pushy about any un-needed extra products. I originally only had a color appointment with caitlin, but during the great consultation she suggested a hair cut with a stylist named erin. Erin came over and talked before the color began and she had great ideas to better shape my face and soften up my layers. She was just as sweet and fun as caitlin- and my cut has never looked this good. I'd go back to them even if my hair didn't look this great!
if you're looking for a salon, don't think anymore- just call salon buzz!
MARTINE ROCKS!. I just had the most amazing manicure EVER! Never have I been more comfortable and content with my nail services until now! Martine was my nail technician and let me just say; SHE ROCKS! From the beginning of the service to the end, she explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it. Not only did I receive an amazing manicure, I also received a lesson in nail care and let me just say her hand massage alone is worth a million dollars! If you want great nails and amazing service with a smile you have to see Martine at Salon Buzz...WOW!
Disaster haircut and poor service.
This was the second time I visited Buzz Salon. The first time I got a fantastic cut. The second time I went to a different hairdresser because I couldn't remember the name of the first and they couldn't find me in the system. I asked for a stylist who was particularly good with curly hair. The hairdresser was very nice. I told her I wanted to keep my length as long as possible and add just a few layers to give it body. Well, she cut layers so steep and uneven into the side of my hair that they looked like a staircase. From the front my hair looks eight inches shorter than from the back. And she left just a few little strands in the back. In the front some of the layers were so short that they stuck out on top of my head. Basically, it looked like hell.
But the real problem was when I called to complain. Buzz wanted me to wait five days before looking at it to fix it. And said they had to charge me an additional $25 for the more expensive stylist who'd be available then. Not exactly customer friendly. So I called the second location on Delaware Pl. and after pressuring the manager I got an appointment t o see the original hairdresser I had seen on my first visit (another employee found me in the system). After spending $15 to park and waiting 20 minutes she looked at it only to say she couldn't fix it - too much had been cut off and it was too uneven. She said to make it even she'd have to cut eight inches off the bottom. Or I need to wait TEN weeks until it grows and then we'll see what we can do. The manager said all he could do was give me a credit for my next visit. I said I wouldn't be returning. He gave me a refund but i had to drive to the other location to get it - not exactly convenient.
By far this was the worst haircut I have ever had. So much thickness was cut out of my hair that I'll probably have to cut the bottom eight inches to make it look even and normal again. Would not recommend this salon.
