Best Hair Salon in the Fox Valley. After being a client at salons on Oak Street and Michigan Avenue, I was fortunate to find John Christian Salon in Geneva, IL. John and his staff are highly skilled in the art of color, up to date on all the newest styles and always have time to listen to their clients and work with them as well as giving their recommendations. They carry only the finest products and never try to sell you anything, but they are available to answer any questions. Many times I have thought I needed a certain product only to be told I did not. If you enjoy the ambiance of a relaxing salon and enjoy being pampered, John Christian Salon is for you. I cannot imagine why the one reviewer had such a negative visit, but I can assure him or her that it was a rarity. John is always on hand to oversee that clients needs are met. The atmosphere is one of total relaxation unparalled by any other salon in the Chicago area.

DO NOT GO HERE!!. DO NOT GO HERE if you want the job done right!! I went in to have my roots redyed and my highlights refreshed. I was scheduled with the owner John, who you would think would know what he is doing. He got the hair dye all over my face, cheeks, chin, near one of my eyes and spread it an inch from my hair line. I had to ask someone to help me remove the black and then had to finish up the job on my own the best I could. I decided if this is how it started it was not going to end any better so I let them know I was going to leave once my hair had been washed out. John asked me to come to his chair where I pointed out the inch or so from my hair line, cheek, chin, etc where my skin was STILL dyed and how he had dyed over all of the highlights in my bangs instead of just doing the roots as asked. He denied it all !! and made excuses instead of apologizing and asking what he could do to make it better. Extremely unprofessional and unaccommodating. My recommendation is to spend your time and money else where. BTW they still charged me. I am reversing the charge.

Worst salon I've ever experienced. worst experience I've ever had. Owner is so full of himself and thinks he's beyond reproach. He didn't listen to wanted I wanted and gave me the worst haircut I've ever had. Tried to get another stylist to try to fix it and salon refused me. Women on phone are rude as well. Horrible place and deserves to be closed.

Best Salon Around. Being a person who is extremely picky about my hair, I was thrilled to death to have found the John Christian Salon. I was constantly having to go back to have cuts "fixed" or evened out or I'd get home and couldn't style my hair. After having tried several upscale salons in the Schaumburg area and being totally disgusted, especially after paying exorbitant fees, I went online and found John's salon. I liked the styles they were advertising and what a jewel I found!!! The staff of the salon keep up with curent trends, my appointments are always on-time and the entire staff is very helpful and friendly. It says a lot about a place when you can tell the staff is happy to be working there. I HIGHLY recommend the John Christian Salon!!! P. Marks

Experienced Pros. I like the fact that you do not get inexperienced kids right out of school. Ths staff are pros and have the training and work history to make the customers look their best. I think most of the personnel have been at the salon for many years, which is always a good sign of stability and customer allegiance in any business.

I also like the fact that there is a lot of parking, both on the street and a large lot right next door. Who wants to be driving around looking for parking.

The Best. I have gone to this salon for many years and find it to be the best. I am constantly complimented on my color and cuts, given by John himself. I have been updated many times over the years and always appreciate the advise I get on what will look best on me. A great staff that are always helpful and very professional. A beautiful salon that I have seen many desigh updates to over the years. Thanks John.

Wonderful. I have been having my hair done at the John Christian Salon for about a year. I am extremely picky about my hair, so I have had trouble finding a good stylist. That was until I found the John Christian Salon. Not only does my hair look wonderful, but the enviornment is warm and friendly. I have the best cut and highlights I have ever had. The people who work in the salon are friendly and outgoing and I feel that they go out of their way to make me happy. I always leave looking and feeling great. I always look forward to my appointment!

Best in everything.. After losing my long time stylist, I began having my hair cut by big name salons. Thinking they must know what they are doing. Wrong...I have short hair and not everyone can cut short hair. (Even if they say they can). John's salon was recommended to me by a co-worker. Just try it she said, I know you will love it". I said "Well, what do I have to lose". I walked in and asked if "someone who was REALLY good with short hair had anything"? The very helpfu and smiling woman at the desk (most do not smile or help) said We sure can. After talking to me she ,had Susie, come and talk to me, and look and touch my hair. Robin (I now know her name) booked me . What a great staff, everyone is friendly and what a beauiful salon. Susie gave me what I was looking . She listened and asked questions. Thankyou SOOOOO much. Please, everyone go...The Salon is also the only salon outside of Chicago listed as 1 of theTop 10 Salons in our area. Thanks a 10000 times. Joan

Best haircut on the planet!. I tried several salons in the Fox Valley area. Someone recommended John Christian. I am so glad they did. I have fine hair and if the cut is not right, I can do nothing with it. John has been cutting my hair for about 3 years now. It always looks great. I work and do not have time to fool with it in the morning. Since finding John Christian, I spend less than 5 minutes in the morning on my hair. The haircut is amazing. He also does a great job with highlighting - it looks natural - a requirement for me. The people in the salon are gracious, the shampoos are great. I love everything about this salon.

burbs' best-kept secret. I've been going to John for about 25 years, since he rescued me from a skunk-like highlighting done by another salon. Now my teenaged daughters go, too. High-quality people and products set him apart from salons where you get cheap haircuts and scary colors. You get what you pay for. At John's, we get the kind of haircuts that look good for months, which, in the long run, actually saves us money.
