Sorry to say but your Cobb was way better about a year and a half ago. It used to be the rave but now I'll never order it again. Bummer

Ambience is very nice especially if you get seated overlooking Michigan Ave. The food isn't as good as the Cheesecake Factory, but you can see the similarity. Service was respectable and price is pretty reasonable for the location and food. Perfect place to grab lunch or dinner in after a day of shopping around.

My Favorite!.
On my last visit to Chicago, we ate at the Grand Lux Cafe.
Everything about this restaurant is good! The food, drinks, dessert! All amazing! And the atmetsphere is so nice, very relaxing and will deffinetly be going back to eat on my next trip coming up in March!!

Perfect.
Several clients wanted a unique Chicago desert so I took them to Grand Lux. My children and I frequent here when shopping.
Watching my colleagues voraciously consume the strawberry shortcake was a memorable experience. They all left very happy.
Anytime I want to make a great Chicago impression on my out of town clients, this is one of my first stops!

Great for breakfast. I love this location for breakfast. The oatmeal and nonfat yogurt are delicious. This location is also terrific for lunch. There is outdoor seating and business people are usually overcrowding this place.

The view of Michigan Ave is here.. Coming from Fort Wayne,IN you have got to eat here at least once in Chicago,IL. The Crispy Carmel Chicken is very good and tender. They have great coffee. The parking is $12 with a ticket slip from the front desk with 3 hours grace. Try it out and treat your friends.

Other reviews helped me!.
I was reading reviews and many were not impressed because it was a Cheesecake Factory sister or the same just another name. Well i had heard good reviews on the CF so that did not stop me.
Someone else said that it was too many tourist and crowded.....Uh this is downtown Chicago!
Someone complained about a 1.5hr wait time on Sat evenings and to go during lunch time. We went Sat afternoon about 1pm and the wait was 30mins.
We just grabbed a menu so we would be ready to order once seated.
We ordered the quesadillas and they were excellent!
The rest of our food was great too.
Waiter was superb as well.

Something for Everyone. Grand Lux has an extensive menu that continues to impress me. I've been visiting for over five years and have yet to try something I don't like. From appetizers to desserts, you're sure to enjoy the food. The ambiance is classy, but feel free to walk in after a day of shopping in jeans and a tee and enjoy the view from windows overlooking Michigan.
