Not every job goes well or ends well when it comes to remodeling, but when stating your case at least be honest. What ChefDeeDee fails to mention is even though we did complete some of the work, we gave her parents a full refund of the 840.00 deposit they paid even though some of the services were already provided. We openly admit the original job was taking longer than planned. The reason for the delay was the project was smaller than what were geared for and did not get the attention it should have. Rather than moving forward we felt it was best to refund the customers deposit so they could contract with someone else. We contacted the customer informed them that it would be in the best interest of both parties that we terminate the agreement and issue a full refund as we did that very day. The refund was immediate and there was no 'Ripping-Off' of elderly people. We have been a member of the Chicagolandbbb since 2005 and our company profile/performance can be viewed at that site. Were not perfect and I'll be the first to admit it, but we do our best to keep our customers happy. We always appreciate referalls as in the case of ChefDeeDee and we apologize for the waty things ended up. However, in the future be honest about the facts or you might find yourself in court over a lialble suit.

Good with Countertops, but - - - don't refer to freinds or Family

The Guy who owns this business did a great job on granite countertops for my house, and they turned out beautiful. I felt it was fine to refer my parents to him for a "cabinet job" hence the name NORTH WOODS CABINETRY, He assured my parents in January, and took $840.00 of their money that he could do their "custom cabinet job", and now that it's Jun 23, 2008, there are NO CABINETS, NO MONEY, and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, and only excuses from their store, saying he's always in Key West Florida.

I regret ever referring you to an elderly couple (my parents) for anything. If you are so busy in "KEY WEST" maybe you should open up a cabinet store down there, and stop ripping off people in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
