Authentic, affordable Mexican - great drinks too!. I discovered this little gem a few years ago while driving around Pilsen desperately seeking some real Mexican food, as I had just moved here from Texas. What a find! The average entree is $8 or $9, and could feed two; a VERY large margarita or daquiri is $5, and they don't scrimp on the alcohol. The restaurant is colorful, as is the food (lots of fresh veggies topping the flautas or tacos). They have lots of non-smoking booths, as well as a larger section set off a bit, where big groups could gather. I've seen couples there for a romantic meal, and families there for good eats. It's a best kept secret, and way better than the 7.0 it has been given by citysearch.
