anyone hearing the ridiculous comments from bob sears should stay away from him... (i actually think bob is a she too cowardly to put her real info out there) the mary sears schools are a 46 year old company with close too 10 locations... logically thinking, if any of this was going on, dcfs would have done something years ago... the fact remaining is that this bob sears complains about everything from rembrendt studios to restaurants, etc.... anyone reading this absurd garbage needs to do their do-diligence and actually go into the centers themselves to see for yourself... i know from credible sources that this bob sears is being investigated by the FBI and high powered Cyber Attorneys.... bob sears is a fraud.....

AWFUL ENVIRONMENT! PARENTS BEWARE!

As a former longtime employee of Mary Sears, I can state from personal experience that this is a TERRIBLE place to send your children and should be AVOIDED like the plague. I should have researched them much more carefully when I applied to work there.

Don’t be fooled!

During the first few months I was at Mary Sears, no less than three employees (not counting me) all resigned suddenly. It is a chaotic, harsh environment for children that seems more like a North Korean prison camp keeping everyone “in line” through fear than any type of positive learning environment putting “children first”. Almost none of the “teachers” are certified, anyone in a position of power is “family” and related to the director. Many of the “teachers” are bitter 19-22 year olds who hate children but are assigned daycare because they have a toddler of their own.

Mary Sears puts on a dog-and-pony show for parents about how their key program is teaching children “R-E-S-P-E-C-T”, except in reality this consists of snapping “RESPECT! RESPECT!” at the children endlessly, while never the setting any example of respect in the classroom whatsoever. The school “rules” state that children should never be talked down to, though this is violated on a daily basis with mean, sarcastic ‘teachers” who demean children as young as two constantly until they cry. 3 and 4 year olds are ordered to cut out objects like snowflakes perfectly, or they are yelled at. The school “rules” state that male employees are not to participate in changing diapers, but this is also ignored on a daily basis to the disgust of all female employees like myself. Pedophiles will be exposed to plenty of child dressing if they work here, since the children are sent on constant “restroom” time (whether they have to go or not). Simple hygiene rules like sterilizing all areas with bleach water on a daily basis and using cleaner are not just ignored, but often ordered to be terminated by staff if they are on a tight schedule that day.

I can state in all honesty that Mary Sears children’s academy is the worst working experience I have ever had, and I come from a family of teachers that have over 30 years experience in the field. They were utterly appalled when I told them about Mary Sears’ day-to-day operations. I resigned from this company in protest over the daily abuse of children.

Don’t just take my word for it, ask any other former employees. DCFS should shut down these “schools”.

Please, for the sake of your children, do NOT send them here!
