Health-conscious Lakeview types hit this salad bar and falafel spot for a quick post-workout meal.. The Scene
Fast food is in surprisingly short supply in this bustling 'hood, which means that Emerald City sees a steady stream of hurried moviegoers and sweaty gym bunnies looking for a meal on the go. There's not much seating--a few tables plus some stools at the window--and the only stab at decor is a "Wizard of Oz" wall mural. But for convenience and quick service, you can't do much better.

The Food
Most everyone's here for the salad bar, an impressive array of greens, veggies, meats, pastas and more. But don't overlook the excellent, inexpensive Middle Eastern fare on the menu: Falafel are hot, subtly spicy and delicious, and tangy stuffed grape leaves make a great side or entree by themselves. Other options include vegetarian platters with hummus, baba ghanoush and stuffed grape leaves, plus soups and pita sandwiches.
