Ice Cream Average at best. Honestly, I can't understand the raves. Had their ice cream several times, and it's average at best. The Oberweis in downtown Mt Prospect is better.

Worth the trip. I make the drive to Capannari's from South Bend IN. three times each summer and fill my cooler with Capannari 's Ice Cream. I have never been a real "chocolate" or "black raspberry" fan but Capannari combines the best chocolate with black raspberry and the BR chip is awesome! Try the BRC ice cream bars, they are too die for! Coconut chip is phenomenal. Next time you go - pack your cooler with dry ice from Packeys on Oakton and head to Capannari's and fill-up. I fill mine with ice cream bars, pints of BRC and CoCo Chip, Mint Choc Chip, butter pecan and of course Choc and Vanilla - don't forget the ice cream cakes - you won't be sorry. Love the store - love the people - just wish they had a store in South Bend!

Fantastic!!!. This is the best ice cream you will ever find. I used to work at an ice cream store with "many flavors" and I must say that they have nothing on Capannari's!!! The chocolate and peanut butter is my favorite flavor. The fact that it is family owned and very family oriented just makes is that much more of an enjoyable experience. I have told everyone I know about it and they all agree with me, there is no better ice cream, and let me tell you, I am an ice cream nut & have tried everything out there and I will never go anywhere else. Thanks Capannari's!

BEST ICE CREAM. the ice cream is fabulous and the enviroment in and around the store is amazing and the service is very good while you get ice cream that is amazing

Building Summer Memories. We travel from Gurnee at least 5 times every summer to hang out at Capannari's. My kids look forward to sitting on blankets in the beautiful park to watch night-time movies against the side our their Turn of the Century Ice Cream Store. The ice cream is the best I've ever had, but the event of going there with the family is something my kids will always remember as a part of their growing up in the summers of Chicago.

Sinfully delicious. Fully homemade ice cream. Great selection of cones to get your ice cream in. Go ony an empty stomach. Ask about their tour.

Best Ice Cream Anywhere. Capannaris has the best ice cream I have ever had. Their selections of flavors beats all the rest. I have tried many of them, from the vanilla and chocolate to the peach to the Irish Creme. When someone asks me what is my favorite flavor, I honestly reply--all of them. While enjoying my ice cream I truly enjoy walking around the outdoor gardens. What a wonderful atmosphere and a wonderful treat. This is a must try for anyone who enjoys ice cream.

Like NO OTHER ice cream. If you want to taste ice cream that tastes EXACTLY like the name it is given (pumpkin, peach, peanut butter, etc.) then this is THE place to eat homemade ice cream. Capannari's Ice Cream is made to absolute perfection, and after eating ice cream from Capannari's, all other ice cream tastes "production-line-made". I have eaten ice cream from all the other places shown on this top ten list and Capannari's is absolutely number one.
