wasnt the best but definately different

well...i have been trying out hotdogs everywhere...i think they could make the corndogs a little more crisp...mine was soggy and i was dissapointed..i drove from downtown..but hey they were ranked #1 i dont think so..maybe 9 or 10 on my list...

• Pros: corndog with a different taste
• Cons: fries were greasy ...fresh cut..but to greasy

BEST FRIES

Came into today for the first time.I was told that their fries were rated top in citysearch last year after not believing that the food was as good as the woman behind the counter claimed. Boy was I wrong. I loved their fries. I only had a hot dog so I can't really comment, except they made the hot dog just like I wanted, with ketchup. Wonderful fries, great customer service. I will be back It has the "where everybody knows your name" feel.

Great service, Fantastic food, and an authentic Chicago atmosphere

Samuel McChord Crothers once said "Try as hard as we may for perfection, the net result of our labors is an amazing variety of imperfectness. We are surprised at our own versatility in being able to fail in so many different ways."

This quote does not apply to the Wiener and Still Champion of Evanston, America.

Gus, the owner of the Wiener has displayed exceptional customer service while serving the best quality food I have tasted for the cheapest prices I have seen. My hobbies include literature, economics, polo, and maxing out on Gus' amazing burgers, perfect cheese fries, and absolutely the greatest corn dogs known to man.

I have eaten at this restaurant on numerous occasions and never have I been disappointed by the quality of the food, the service, or anything else involved with the "Wiener". The food there is like a symphony of pleasure taking place on my taste buds.

I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving perfect food fast. I also think it should become an Evanston landmark.

Gosh....what a fantastic place. I wish I wasn't so far away, otherwise I would be there right now.

I praise Gus and his staff for providing top quality food.

Amazing.

BEST FOOD!!! GREAT ATMOSPHERE

I love this place. They have amazing hamburgers and wonderful hot dogs topped to perfection. You can tell the quality and detail that goes into every step of making the food. Owner is so nice and personable. Amazing fresh cut fries, and their hand dipped corn dogs with they call dipping dogs are the best I've ever had as are there tripple cheddar burgers. OH MY GOD. Nothing beats it in all of chicagoland and I've eaten just about everywhere. MY TOP PICK

• Pros: great food, great prices
• Cons: can't think of one.

cheese fries

Whenever my friends and I are hungry after school, we tend to make our way over the the Weiner. The cheese fries are amazing and its in a great location from everything. The hotdogs are really good too.
