USDA prime beef, elegant tableside service and mammoth martinis..
In Short
With its dark wood details, celebrity photos and tuxedo-clad waiters, this upscale steakhouse chain has the air of a posh men's club. Service is professional and discreet, with bartenders making a mean martini. Dinners begin with a waiter-driven cart laden with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib-eye, bone-in prime rib and more. Side dishes are traditional and enormous, from baked potatoes and creamed spinach to steamed broccoli with hollandaise.
Hey yoy Guys!.
4 of us , all in our seventies, 2 men and 2 women dressed very well. Were addressed "hey you guys ready to be seated". "Right this way you guys",Afterwards,"Did you guys enjoy your dinner?"These young ladies must be blind. It's rude to address women as guys.
The noise level in the restaurant was like a jet plane in your living room.
The food was good, but the prices were way overboard. Until thye polish their employees at the reservation counter, I don't think we will go back. Our bill for 4 was $325+.They advertise giant martini's. Our glasses arrived 1/2full in giant glasses.
great steakhouse.
I went to Morton's for the 1st time recently and was very impressed. I had the porterhouse steak and it was awesome and cooked to order. the side dishes were good also. esp the mashed potatoes and mushrooms.
the service was impeccable. and overall I was a very satisfied customer. You always wonder about the corporate chains and whether or not they can live up to the hype/standards that are set at their other locations. Morton's did. and as a result I will dine there again."
whygohere?. The service is the "hello my name is" type. The prices are too high for that type of approach. The food is overpriced and service is mediocre. You can't even get a butter knife--you must use the oversized steak knife. The steak was good. Wine by the glass is positively outrageous. $9.00 for a KJ chardonnay that sells for $9.00 a bottle! Never again!
