Best of The Best Tapas. It doesn't get any better than Emilio's. I have been to Spain, most major cities worldwide and I have not found a better Spanish restaurant anywhere. The food, ambiience, value and energy is exceptional. The Paella is outstanding, with lively flavors, as are most of the daily specials. Emilio is one of the true great chefs that puts over 30 years of passion in his food and ambience. There are other restaurants that serve tapas in Chicago and other cities but there is only one Tapas King, a tribute to years of execellent consisitency. If you can get him to cater a party, he will surprise you well beyond most caterers as well.

PRICEY FOR LESS THAN AVERAGE FOOD. At Emilio's the variety and quality of food was not very good. The ambiance is nice and the desert is average. The prices are a bit high compared to other tapas restaurants like Iberico. I ordered about 7 different hot and cold tapas items and the taste was poor. The croquetas are double the price and half the amount compared to other places.

Emilios -. The food was very tasty, but expensive. I liked everything I tried. We ordered the grilled veggies, chicken with lemon and grilled veggies, dates wrapped in bacon, venison ravioli, chickpea humus, goat cheese with tomatoes, and bean soup. The portions were VERY small. The humus was spread so thinly on the plate it was comical. No joke, it was probably 1/16 of an inch or less. You had to scrape your piece of bread on the plate to get any at all. The plate of grilled veggies had 7 slices of vegetables. There were only 3 raviolis. It cost us $15/person. It is expensive for what you get, but it is fun and the food is good. I just which the serving sizes were normal not minuscule.

Veteran tapas restaurant serves up fine finger food and cozy, romantic atmosphere.. The Scene
Don't let the nearby cemetery spook you--romance is blooming indoors and out at this suburban favorite. Dim pink lighting, spicy flamenco beats, mosaic-encrusted bar tables and Spanish village paintings beckon lovers-in-waiting.

The Food
Great for grazing. The big menu features more than 40 bite-size portions and a selection of entrees. Garlic mayo makes its most successful appearance in the aioli potato salad; tart sherry vinaigrette is perfectly paired with chilled asparagus and roasted red peppers. Don't pass up the delicious Spanish-style tomato bread, a bruschetta-like concoction served with shaved ham and manchego cheese. Pork tenderloin with herbed potatoes and cracked pepper beef tenderloin, both served atop tri-colored peppers, stand out among the meat selections. Try the paella for two if you've got time on your hands (the dish takes 30-40 minutes to prepare). Wash it all down with white or red fruit-topped sangria and save room for caramel-laden sautéed bananas.

Excellent!!. We went to Emilios not knowing what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. The servers were really nice and helpful and the ambience is good too. Our favourite was the duck ravioli with goat cheese and the stuffed mushrooms with spinach. Overall, Emilios is a great place with good food and good value for money. And I also wanted to mention that their host looks exactly like

"The Rock" from WWE.

The tops in tapas. Emilio's is still the king of tapas. The dining room is usually packed and festive. The food is as superb as ever. Favorites tapas dishes include the duck with couscous, chicken with three sauces and the killer garlic potato salad. But leave room for dessert, the tiramisu and the poached pears are excellent.
