My experience with A Better Resume Service was wonderful. I met with Dan, he explained what needed to be done, completed the work on time and I was pleased with the quality of the work. I read another review and it sounds like Jack is a moron. He makes big money as a VP and rags that 70 bucks is going to bankrupt him. He spends more on a nice dinner than he expects to pay for a resume. I guess when you work with the general public you run into all kinds of jerks. He was lucky that he wasn't there when I came through or I would have given him a piece of my mind. I would recommend this service to reasonalble people what are looking for quality services.. I think they have been around for more than 20 years and all it takes is one person out of thousands to ruin a good reputation. In fact, I don't even know why this guy is on such a rant, because he didn't even buy anything. Four thumbs down for Jack,. It sounds like your last name is off.
Pros: Helpful, accurate, honest
Cons: Can't say enouugh good things about them.

Let me tell you; I've had my resume worked on by many services over the years and this location represented the worst professionalism I've ever seen. This guy thinks everyone just fell off the turnip truck. I set up an appointment to "update" my resume. When you get there Dan gives a whole song and dance about how he's going to change your resume. Then he shows you a presumably impressive CEO resume that happened to look just like mine. He then puts the rate sheet in front of you that nowhere near matches the rates listed on the website. This is what the website says: "As such, our pricing for resume preparation ranges from $75 for the simplest projects, $150 to $250 for moderate documents." No problem right? I wanted him to update the last 2 years job history. I thought $75 was excessive for this but I would have paid that and more for the convenience. However, Dan refused to update the document and would only redo the whole resume for prices well over $250. I asked him about the pricing on the website and he basically called me a liar and said he wrote the website pricing. Long and short? This is classic bait and switch. Dan tries to get you in there to hear his sales pitch but he calls it a free consultation. Bogus. Don't waste your time unless you're ready to spend well over $250 and are a CEO. Even then I'd call you a punter. I wish citysearch would allow a no star rating.
Pros: none
Cons: prices on website do not reflect higher prices quoted in office.
