In Short – With its dark wood details, celebrity photos and tuxedo-clad waiters, this upscale steakhouse chain has the air of a posh men's club. Service is professional and discreet, with bartenders making a mean martini. Dinners begin with a waiter-driven cart laden with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib-eye, bone-in prime rib and more. Side dishes are traditional and enormous, from baked potatoes and creamed spinach to steamed broccoli with hollandaise.
The McDonalds of Steakhouses

"The McDonalds of Steakhouses" is a compliment in this regard, because this has become such a large, national chain. But no matter which Morton's I've eaten at--and I've been to every Chicagoarea location--the quality is always the same: Outstanding. I've never been disappointed in the food or service. I usually always get the porterhouse and I've always had my steak prepared the way I asked. Pricey, of course, but no different than any other top prime steakhouse. The Godiva chocolate cake is one of my favorite desserts. I'm so glad they've opened one in Schaumburg, five minutes from my house!
- Pros: world class steaks
Place to SPLIT-UP for couples
by foodmania at Citysearch
The restaurants space is very limited. A conversation is not possible due to the loudness of all the people. Their steaks are charred black even though you request for a medium rare. I asked why my steak was charred black and the waiter said that it was their specialty. I asked them to redo the steak and the guy looks at me funny. The 2nd time around it wasnt charred. The customer service was all a joke. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone expect for a couple who needs a place to break up.
- Pros: FAST SEATING
- Cons: LOUD, BAD SERVICE
