Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." Recently went to Schaumburg Outback for birthday dinner for my wife. She had been there previously for lunch and raves about the quality and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and my wife and kids ate from the kids menu as the portions are so large. The service was great and atmosphere was lively on that Saturday night. Whole bill for (4) was $52 plus tip. I'd recommend it and the dessert was awesome. We didn't take advantage of it but they were also singing to the various B-day folks.
