What People Are Saying About Rainforest Cafe

In Short – While waiting for a table, hungry diners prowl the retail village, where cash-register ka-chings compete with chirping birds, roaring lions and chest-thumping gorillas. When the lights start to flicker, never fear--thunderstorms are part of the show. The menu is American comfort food--pastas, burgers, pizzas and salads--served with a tropical flair. There are plenty options that the kids will recognize, but enough novelty to keep the parents happy.

My 19 months old daughter loved this place. Lots of animals, good food, plenty of time to spend time with family. I will recommend this restaurant to my friends.
- Pros: animals
- Cons: long wait
YUCK!

I have gone to RAINFOREST CAFE many times because it is my Godson's favorite restaurant. Each time I go it gets worse and worse. I remember when it first opened at Woodfield Mall several years ago the wait to get in was over an 1 hour long! Now, you can just walk in, get seated and be one of the only tables being served. Now, that is a sign of a bad restaurant! RAINFOREST CAFE is a great place for kids and they have a great selection on their kids menu. UNFORTUNATELY, for us adults, the food is by far the worst! Each time I go and order something different it ALWAYS makes my stomach sick! The menu is very limited as well. The next time my Godson wants to eat there I am going to have to pursuade him to eat somewhere else! I just cannot spen another dime on that nasty food!
- Pros: Kid friendly!
- Cons: Food is horrible!

The atmosphere is great. Kids LOVED it! The food was worse than awful. I ordered clam chowder and I SWEAR it came out of a can! I also ordered the crab cake sandwich. Their "version" was a pile of crab meat on a bun. It wasn't even pan fried. -I can honestly say I've never had a "crab cake" made that way. My kids got dinosaur shaped ckicken nuggets. --exact same ones I've purchased at the grocery store in the frozen food section. I could have opened a can of crab or soup. --or defrosted the chicken nuggets at home! And I wouldn't have paid 5 times what the food was actually worth!
