Break out the Ragu.
I can't fathom what folks that rate this place highly are thinking. Given the fantastic array of great neighborhood Italian options, why would you go to McItaly unless your tastebuds are on a
siesta? To be more specific, the whole Maggiano's equation is off in my opinion. They attempt to overcome the quality issue with shear quantity - pounds and pounds of pasta smothered in bland sauces that could have come from a can. Couple this with long waits and chain store, suburban trendy decor, swirl and voila - you have a poor dining experience! The one positive thing that I can say is that the wait staff are uniformly excellent and highly attentive.
Run, don't walk from Maggiano's Little Olive Garden!…
Family-friendly restaurant serves up enormous portions of southern Italian favorites in a nostalgic setting..
In Short
Family-style portions and red-checkered tablecloths create a casual, congenial vibe, drawing families and large groups to this feast of Italian-American nostalgia set to a Sinatra
soundtrack. The made-from-scratch menu is brimming with traditional dishes, from starters like fried calamari, Parmesan garlic bread and Tuscan-style mussels to spaghetti with meatballs and manicotti with chicken and spinach. For those with room to spare, a piece of sweet tiramisu and a strong cappuccino help finish the meal.…
The best food of all time..... One of the grattist resturants you have ever bine to. you will love this plass.....................
Don't get the appeal.
Every time we visit we are reminded why we dislike it. The food isn't anything great, sure the portions are huge but thats just that much more bad food. The food is expensive. The wine list is safe
with all the popular favorites and nothing new to try. The service is rushed. Don't order your meal too quickly, they love to bring it out while you are still working on your salad.
There are so many great Italian places out there & we have no idea why none are in the Schaumburg area... hence the appeal of this place.…
Do not go to Maggianos!!!. I would have to say Ive been to Maggianos a lot in my day and I fear they are becoming a statistic of over franchising. It seemes when a restaurant franchises and become bigger and bigger the food gets worse and worse, (ie:Cheesecake factory). In short, the food was not fresh and cold, poor quality and an overall bad experience....…
