My Audi failed emissions so I took it to Augusta & Paulina. They replaced the Oxygen Sensor and cleaned the Air Filter for $500. I paid, but the check engine light was still on after the repair so they told me to take it to Audi.
While Audi was diagnosing the car, they discovered that the Air Mass Meter had been saturated with cleaning fluid for the Air Filter. They tried to dry it and salvage the part but it was no good and needed to be replaced. Audi asked who performed the work and strongly suggested I try to get a credit for the $235 damaged part.
I called A&P and spoke with Rubin, the owner. He yelled his head off at me stating they did not damage the part. After conferencing in the service rep at Audi, Rubin finally said, “fine, you come in and we'll credit you for the $235." I went in the same day and the mechanic ran my card for the credit. Having a store owner or manager yell at you (the customer) is not the way I like my business handled. And if it hadn't been for the honesty of the Audi service rep and his willingness to spend his time on the phone with me, I would have been ripped off for the poor service provided Augusta & Paulina.
Recent Service. Car is running again, however, big ding on the passenger side that was not there when the car was dropped off. Chipped paint on big ding. Substance sprayed all over rear leather seats and rear driver side window. For the second time greasy fingerprints on the drivers door. Car reeks of oil and lubricant. Service is great. If you care about the appearance of your vehicle be wary.
Good guys; straight forward speaking. Although I am a white collar worker now, I use to be a mechanic, so I know how to speak 'mechanic-eze'. These guys are straight forward; speak non-techy easily, very reasonably priced and they're actually nice!! (And no, I am not related to these guys- LOL....) I know my car stuff and a lot of mechanics see the white shirt and tie and automatically assume, I'm just another white collar 'dufus'. Not them. definitely recommend these guys. Don't hesitate, just go to them.
Augusta & Paulina Service Station. I was visiting and did a search for an oil change in the zip code. This place came up as highly rated. I agree with the previous reviewers. Excellent service. Did an oil change immediately. Very friendly.
Great service, great price! A winner!. Great service, reasonable prices. Took my car there because I thought I had a slow leak. They took it off, examined it, and couldn't find anything. The mechanic wasn't satisifed, so he kept looking and found that it was a bad valve stem. Replaced it at no extra charge. Even lubed my hood latch and it cost me 6.00! Can't beat the service or the price. I'll definitely take my car there again! (Hopefully it will be a long time before I need to, but when I do need to, that will be the place I go.)
Don't go if you want prompt service..
It pains me to write this because they seem honest, knowledgable and fairly-priced. What they are not is communicative or prompt. I have given them a lot of business, and every single time they have failed to call me back on time to let me know if they've even looked at my car. If you call ahead they'll tell you it will be looked at right away, but then it will sit for two days. By way of comparison, I have worked with other mechanics who will call you back within an hour or two.

Each time they promised to look and call me back within a week. The first time I asked them about it was about 3 months ago, and I never got a call back from them. When I followed up, they told me they couldn't find it in blue--only in black. I pointed out that the car had black mirrors. They said they would get back to me the following week, and they never did. They don't seem pay attention to the details.
Perhaps they are so busy because of all the good reviews they get, but the bottom line is you will have to call them if you want a timely response. They are small and probably can't handle the amount of business they are getting--it wouldn't bother me as much if they were a little more honest about their turnaround time. I won't be going back if I can find someone else in my neighborhood.
Wonderful & Helpful. These guys are very helpful & great at thier job. They are willing to help you out in anyway needed, and I think their pricing is very reasonable too! Definately suggest you go there if you want honest reliable help!
Hidden Treasure. I have been taking my car(s) to Ruben for 15 years, and I will never go anywhere else. I started with them because I lived up the street and could push my car there if needed. And they always offered me a ride home! They have fast, reasonably-priced service, personalized, friendly customer relations, and they really take care of their regular customers in an old-fashioned, neighborly way which is hard to find in these times of depersonalized, mega-chain businesses. They are the best! I recently moved further away and upgraded my AAA membership so I could be towed there from up to 100 miles away.
WOW. I took my Chrysler LeBaron to Augusta and Paulina and I couldn't get over how fast they fixed it. I brought it in and I asked the owner if it would be done by the following week, he said, "we'll do it right now." I was shocked, they really did do it that day and my car has been running fine ever since. I go back every 3,000 miles for my oil change. It is the cheapest oil change in the city, and they only use the top of the line castrol oil so you know your car will be running smoothly for the next three thousand miles. I highly recommend Augusta and Paulina to anyone in the chicagoland area.
