DO NOT GET ORTHODONTICS DONE HERE. I have to say there are some things good about first family. Dr. Park is an exceptioal dentist, so get her if you can. I read some of the reviews and I agree that most of the work is done by dental assistance, rather then the dentist. This was true with my ortho work as well. Dr Washington only works a few weekends a month at first family and it shows. Patients are double booked and she basically comes in looks and tells the tech what to do and leaves. I must have had at least 5 different techs in the 2 1/2 + years it took to get my braces done. ( I had been told it would take 1 1/2 years - and they still were not straight after all that time - but more on this later).

With Dr Washington being so busy, it took a great deal of time to been seen. Average wait time was about 45 minutes beyond my appointment time. (including 3 months of Dr Washingtons maternity leave where they did not get a substitue, but made all the patients wait) Mistakes were made - teeth not supposed to be moved were pulled down. After 2 years the braces came off. But my front teeth were not straight. I went to Dr. Park, who agreed it was a bad job and she interviened with Dr. Abboud (the owner) and the braces were put back on after 3 months of waiting for this decision. Unfortuneatly, since it had taken so long, I only had the braces back on for 3 months before I had to relocate to Seattle. I asked Dr. Abboud for a partial refund to pay someone to finish the work. His response was that the job was "good enough". I just paid a new orthodontist $1,400 to finish the work. This was after paying First Family $4,500 for braces and even more for an extraction (which they broke the tooth 4 times trying to remove) and gum surgery. All in all it was almost $8,000 worth of work at first family and the result were poor and my teeth were still not straight. Not just a little uneven - Very uneven. (Friends kept saying "I thought you had braces, what happened". Even with all this Dr. Abboud refused a refund
