“If you don't enjoy good food and fun people, then you can go to a stuffy night club or stay home.”
“Ice cold beers, snappy service, simple food done right and a comfortable atmosphere.”
“The fries it came with also had a unique spice to them.”
“Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu (including the hundreds of beers) and the manager even stopped by the table to chat and check up on us.”
“Jake's is a good fun bar with good bartenders and lots of beer choices on tap--bartender reccommended the brisket sandwich as their specialty and I really enjoyed it and will have it again and again--fortunately I'll be spending a month in the condo next ”
“We highly recommend this place and would return next time we are in the Chicago area.”

“Overall, Jake's is a solid bar at a good value.”
“Service is good and usually very quick.”
The Madness Burger returns for the month in honor of the tournament. It's a 9-ounce burger cradled between two grilled cheese sandwiches and topped with lettuce, tomato, bacon, a fried egg, pepper jack cheese, and mayonnaise. It's served with fries and is $1 more if you order a beer.

MUST TRY: Jake's Smokin' Que Burger. The hot wings are delicious. Be daring & go for a Level 2 wings. Great beers and lots of TVs for March Madness.

The best darn sports bar I know of in the downtown vicinity. Food's solid too- try a burger.
Casual dining, enormous portions. Though the atmosphere is pretty chain-like, the restaurant is clean and comfortable and the service is friendly. TVs are strategically placed throughout the dining room, so it's easy to keep one eye on the game while eating the above-average bar food. Portions are generous--the nacho plate is the biggest I've seen, with plenty of cheese and toppings spread evenly throughout, not just piled on top. The Caesar salad is big, too--a little bit heavy on the slightly sweet creamy dressing--but an overall a good bet if you're not the burger and fries type.
Huge Appetizers. We ordered a plate of nachos and it was huge. Three of us couldn't finish it, and we tried. It was very good, with sour cream and gaucamole. The chili fires were also good, but get soggy after a while. The hamburger was nicely cooked, and wasn't too thin or greasy. The decor of this place is casual, but a little lame for a sports bar. It makes a great lunch spot.
busy, noisy, also outdoor seating. I ordered the top item on the menu-the filet mignon. Only french fries, but the steak was excellent. There was no bread served with the meal. When I asked the water, he said he would inforf the chef and maybe they will offer it in the future. When the host passed the table, he said that this is mainly a hamberger place, but he took note that bread should be served with the meal. I would go back. The fried chicken was also excellent.
