It's Gone!. Kitchen 22 was one of my favorite restaurants in the City. Very good food, fair prices. We went last night but it's GONE! The space was vacant. We were very sad unitl ... we went across the street to Bolo. Wow - great meal. Pricier than Kitchen 22 but excellent food and service. I'll miss Kitchen 22 but it's good to know that there are alternatives very close by.

Great venue for large parties. To start off, this place was incredible. From the get go, Tina, the manager, was extremely professional and on top of everything. Our large party of 50 filled the whole dining room, and she made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible with absolutely no problems the entire evening. We have events of this size twice annually, and this was, by far, the best one we've ever had. The food was great and the services was just as good. They kept our glasses full and never once made any errors with our orders or with requests. The space was ideal for our party, and the decor was modern but also traditional. This place is a must for large parties and for anyone who wants a great meal at an incredibly affordable price.

Loved it!. Love the food and I love the vibe at this place. Our waiter was the best, he brought over free champiagne for my friend Rainey's birthday. He was really sweet. Expect long lines thougn, this place gets seriously packed.

Just OK. Food was nothing special considering chef hype. Squash soup was very nice. Pork loin with cipollini onion and garlic mashed polenta was just OK. Chocolate pecan pie was "good". I guess I came to realize that with so few options, cooking must end up feeling very formulaic to the kitchen staff, and I think it comes across a bit in the food. I also tried some of my friend's bluefish (something I've never had before) and it tasted quite "fishy". Is that normal for that type of fish? Noise level got pretty loud when restaurant became full. Overall, not special enough that I'd return. I've had much more satisfying meals for less money.

Okay food, good wine. Had dinner there Sat. night. Described as "good value" but a restaurant is only a good value if the food is good! Risotto for appetizer was bland and boring. Skate for main course was extremely salty! Mixed berries with cream very dessert - simple, but yummy. Cucumber mint martini was great, as was our shiraz selection for dinner. Wouldn't go back for dinner, but would have drinks at the bar. Very charming decor.
