This hidden, intimate spot tucked away in the Western suburbs is all about the decor and beer..
In Short
Don't let the faded sign scare you away--the interior is a true gem. Christmas lights and funky wall hangings of moons and beer bring out a laugh, while live music, darts and a video arcade invite wallflowers to take an active part in the lively scene. The tall wooden bar serves up a global, eclectic list of brews, including Raspberry Cream Ale, German Ale Bier and Eclipse Oatmeal Stout are just a few.

Stellar neighborhood brewpub.
Is there such a thing as a neighborhood brewpub? The Lunar Brewing Company in Villa Park certainly is an example if such a thing exists.
This is a neighborhood/corner tap owners Jules Michelle Roels transformed into a cozy brewpub. Definitely a low-key joint, Lunar still has the vibe of a neighborhood tap, but with outstanding handcrafted brews. There are usually 7 to 10 of house brews on tap with plenty of mass produced and imported choices a rustic wooden cooler. This is a casual hang out and an oasis of great beer in what sometimes seems like a suburban wasteland for such stuff. The only drawback with this place is the lack of food (you can get what I call bar pizza) and the crowd tends to get a bit loud on weekends.
