The Scene – This suburban seafood oasis caters to quiet couples and multi-generational families, with comfortable dining booths and a welcoming bar. Laden with rigging and relics, the sedate nautical atmosphere perks up with dancing to a live musical combo on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. – – The Food – The moderately priced menu of traditional seafood--along with several non-seafood selections--is headlined by higher-ticket items like Australian lobster tail and king crab legs. Great Seafood Dining
by scoper
I've been dining here for the past few years. The service is always good, as is the food. The exotic and colorful saltwater aquariums, along with the nautical theme theme, really sets this restaurant off. On weekends, they have very good live entertainment, with music to appeal to the 40's-70's crowd.
- Pros: Plenty of parking, great entertainment on weekends
- Cons: Usually need a reservation

Dover Straits (Mundelein) will seve you a usually excellent meal in nice surroundings. Great deep fried jumbo shrimp.
Be sure to check out the various aquariums - some very exotic
fishes.
the worst seafood restaurant I've ever been to.

My girlfriend and I had a horrible lunch today. Not because of the service, which was prompt and courteous, but because of every other conceivable thing. In non-smoking it stunk of smoke. The salad dressings were watery. The food was bland, and the food they did season tasted horrible. It also seemed funny that not only were the guests elderly, the staff seemed to be as well. Overall, Dover is a nautical themed dining room appropriate for a nursing home.
- Pros: has a parking lot, roof doesnt leak, pets not allowed
- Cons: The food, The ambience, stinks of smoke
