Best deal on great furniture and great customer service. I bought a sofa two years ago from Domicile Furniture when I first moved to Evanston. It was very pleasant experience. And recently we purchased a houseful of furniture from them to take advantage of the store moving sale(they have a huge new store in Lincolnwood which is next to Evanston.) This is perfect because we just bought a new house, and me and my husband had been visiting different furniture stores, getting ideas and comparing prices. We went to crate n barrel, room n board, pottery barn, Z Gallery... But we end up buying from Domicile for they have the same stuff but at much lower price. We saved at least $5000 there. The service is much personalized at Domicile. While shopping at their Evanston store, we met Larry, he couldn't be nicer, providing us great options based on our budget, giving us time to measure and think through. Very honest and straight shooter. The coolest thing was that we got our furniture delivered just two days after we made the purchase! The delivery guys were very professional and courteous.

A very honest business. Sad that they are closing this location. It has a lot of memory for people like my parents. My parents have been shopping all of our furniture there since I was a little kid. Mom and Dad love it. At the very beginning, it was because the store is only 10 minutes away from home, and they can always find very nice furniture there for very good prices(saved a lot of money over the years and I'm sure that contributed to my Northwestern tuition) ; then after a while, the honesty and customer-centered service from the owner Larry and the employees went a long way, and my parents become two of their most loyal customers. Like many of other customers at their age, Mom and Dad don't know write reviews on line, so they asked me to do this. They wanted to let everyone know how they appreciate Domicile and its owner Larry's hard work and contribution to "a truly beautiful world" (quote from Mom). This is emotional for me to write it, because I have witness how nice Larry and his employees are to every customer walked in that store and how hardworking they are --- they are the people I respect.

Avoid It. Found a great sofa, price was okay, I paid, two weeks passed, no sofa, i called, product was on its way, two weeks later, it showed up, it was the wrong product. After calling again i was actually, no embelishment here, cussed out and hung up on! refund came after a dozen more repeated attempts, even those were supposed to go through and low and behold a week later, no refund. Avoid this self imposed bain on your existence.

VERY VERY LATE. I ordered my couch through the Domicile in Evanston and they said 6-8 weeks. Understanding that the holidays were right around the corner I figured it was more like 8 weeks. 10 weeks later - the holiday are over, my guests have left (they had no place to sit!!) and the couch STILL has not arrived. The customer service is horrible and it has been a nightmare to work with the representatives of Domicile. They still cannot give me an estimated date of arrival.....

Customer Service???????. i am sure they are great as long as your furniture is not damaged during delivery. A year and a half later, calls are not returned and customer service lies and hangs up on you. Hope you have better luck.....
