“IT is a great place for A-line skirts and really girly fun stuff.”
“IT is a great place for A-line skirts and really girly fun stuff.”
“And I have always received friendly service!”
“t reasonable prices too!”
Sexy time!. This is a cute little shop to get sundresses and skirts. Hubberz always finds something in a fun print for me to wear back home, and then I don't wear it for long, ha! They've got cute sunglasses and shoes from all over, you can always find something one-of-a-kind here. The prices are on the steep side, but the value is worth it.
very poor quality jewelery !!! and the owner is rude !!!!. bought a pair of 50 $ earings and had them on for few hours the following day before suddenly one of them just fell apart as I was walking. Went back into the store immediatly and spoke with the owner !!!! very rude lady with no customer skills at all !!!! I just told her I was dissappointed in the quality of the product and she told me that her jewelry is like a potato chip !!!! so fragile !!!! well i do agree with that !!!! also told me not to come back into her store ever again . Just simply could not believe the kind of very low respect towards her customers !!!! overpriced and very poor quality jewelry and clothing with very but very poor customer service it makes you sick !!!!!!
Dissappointing!.
Very dissatisfied with service here. I bought several silver jewelry items as they had a nice selection. I recently bought a pair of silver pearl earings and to my disappointment, they broke within the 3 weeks after wearing them only 2x. When I originally purchased, the gal who sold them recommended buying rubber backings so they stay on. Which is what I did. One of the earrings snapped at the wire. I've never had any silver jewelry break! When I attempted to exchange them, I was given an excuse saying they don't guarantee any of their jewelry. I've never heard of a business that doesn't guarantee or offer an exchange on their defective items that broke within a few weeks. They offered to charge me $10 to fix them, but the earings cost $16. I didn't want to do this, and I will not shop here again. I prefer to shop at small retailers who stand behind their products and value their customers.
Also note, their store hours are not consistent, often times they close for weeks/months at a time. Currently they are closed "for inventory" till 1st week of April.
Sunglasses galore. This store is the best for cute dresses and skirts that are a different style than you will find other places. IT is a great place for A-line skirts and really girly fun stuff. The best thing about the store is the sunglasses. If you are a sunglasses fanatic, you will be in heaven. I've always had a good time with customer service and they are always willing to help find something if you're not sure exactly what you want. The only drawback is that some of the clothes tend to run smaller than conventional department store sizes.
Please don't buy gifts here!!.
I received a gift for my birthday from this store. It wasn't to my taste, so I drove up to Evanston to return it (I live in Chicago). Turns out they're closed on Mondays.
I drove back up today, only to find that they have a "STRICT" two-week return policy, and they sent me away. Nowhere on the box did it note this policy. And they weren't very nice about it.
First, this is poor customer service. Second, it's bad business! I returned another gift at another store in Evanston and ended up spending 3 times what the original giver had spent!
So... buy here for yourself (if you must), but please, please do not shop for gifts at this store.
Great, artsy and unique. My daughter and I love this shop! The merchandise is unique and will not be found anywhere else. The owners have a great eye for special artsy items purchased during there yearly worldwide buying trips. I always receive compliments on the jewelry purchased here. If you are ever in Evanston it is worth a stop and browse. There is a lot to see. And I have always received friendly service!
Pricey and bad customer service.
They have a lot of cute items in the store but unfortunately the items are overpriced. The service was horrible. There was no acknowlegement of my presence when I entered the store. The store clerks were interested more in the music and their own personal gossip. One of the clerks was outright rude and had no sense of tact.
I really love shopping at local boutiques that are unique but, honestly you'll get better service shopping elsewhere
A Haven for something new!!. OK, this quaint shop is truly the spot to find one of a kind accessories as well as clothing...A t reasonable prices too!!!...Being in college, that's a great plus to me. If you want to enjoy a unique shopping experience, definitely make a trip to this Evanston "treasure".
This teen apparel scene offers a wealth of worldly funky fashions and accessories..
The Scene
The husband and wife team of Rick and Sheila Bower scour the globe to stock their wonderfully eclectic north suburban clothing and accessory boutique. You'll easily spend an hour perusing its wares and enjoying its quirky, colorful signage. Hip, young staffers (often decked out in colorful wigs, cowboy hats and the like) are helpful when they're not dancing to the latest hip-hop CD they've popped in.
The Goods
College-cute party wear with ethnic flair is the mode here. Despite its name, there's not too much that's truly Mexican. You'll find tees in every color, cowl-neck sweaters, nylon pants and other notice-me fashions. Things get more global in the accessory section, where finds like Indian "junk jewelry" and bracelets from Africa are reasonably priced There's also an assortment of gift items, like cigarette cases, '50s-style alarm clocks, scarves and more.
