In Short – No need to be intimidated--this is not a stomping ground for six-packs, but a gym for all body types, rolls and all. The casual, exposed brick space is also bigger than it looks, but its four levels have just about every amenity you'd need to get in shape--a swimming pool, Cybex and cardiovascular equipment, Pilates studio, four-story climbing wall, classes, massage rooms and daycare. Spacious locker rooms boast saunas and showers, plus direct access to the pool via the women's locker room. Personal trainers, private climbing and swimming lessons and massages also are…

mgmt intervention needed

by whosepouse

Mgmt needs to intervene and supervise the behavior of the trainers especially during the late afternoon and evening hours. The trainers behave like adolescent punks with impunity toward clients. I am tired of observing it and over hearing it.

trainers are crappy and a bit crazy

by serioiuslynow

last yr i decide to use a trainer at EAC. a psyd was my trainer. it was the goofiest experience i ever had learning any thing. he was inattentive, constantly distracted and jittery. the topics he spoke of like drumming and hypnosis were odd and not related to my athletic goals. it seemed like he was trying to enlist me as a client elsewhere. it was plain weird. once in his distracted speaking i had to ask him if he was feeling alright. that question brought him back to my goals. i will never pay that amt of money again unless i get acclimated to a trainer first.

horrible ripoff

by BruisedGhost

I was a member here for several months when I moved to the South Loop. I went into the club during my lunch break and asked them to put my account on hold, I was told that this was fine and it would be done. 7 months later I find that they are still charging my account and refuse to refund any of my money even though they have on record that I had not been in the gym for 8 months and that I had in fact come in to request this. I was told that this was my own fault more specifically the person I spoke with said "You have an excuse for everything" and "Its your own fault for not catching this sooner." While I will agree that I should have caught this sooner as it is my financial record, the fact that they did not close my account is there fault. I explained to them that I had lost my job due to the economy and I needed the money for my rent to which they responded with "Tough". Well EAC THANKS
