Good Lunch Special. Very good lunch special here for $5.95. Very friendly service. Food was average but filling. They don't have my favorite salad (I don't think at least) of Som Tum, but most places don't get it right anyway.

Don't Go Here!. I used to go to The King and I restaurant for over 20 years because I thought that they were nice people to deal with UNTIL the last time I ordered. Every time that I went to eat there (and I've brought a LOT of business to them in those 20 years!)they even knew me by name and knew what I would order before ordering it.

On this particular occasion when I was craving my favorite Thai food AND not having eaten for over 14 hours because of a medical fast, I was starving. I ordered the lunch special which includes an appetizer and soup. Because of the fast, I wanted something more filling than soup so I asked them (as I have done in the past and which they always said yes) if I could have the egg roll instead of soup. The waitperson who knew me absolutely refused to substitute. I was shocked at how rude she was towards me regarding this. I had enough of her attitude and told her that I would never step foot in their restaurant again. That was back in 2008 and haven't been back since.

If you want to go to a place that treats their long time customers with total rudeness, than this is the place to go.
