Editorial Review for New Rebozo Mexican Restaurant – by Jennifer Olvera

In Short
Mexican folk art on stucco walls creates a festive feel at this colorful storefront, where enthusiastic servers dish out spicy platters of Mexican favorites. Popular menu items include tortilla soup, enchiladas, and pollo in mole sauce; you'll also find standard Tex-Mex favorites like burritos and tacos, plus more unusual fare like banana leaf-wrapped, mushroom garnished red snapper. Mango, strawberry and lime margaritas are just the thing to wash it all down.

new rebozo was very disappointing - very pricey margaritas.........my friend and I payed almost $25 for each margarita - we had two each!!!!!!!!!! We had an order of guacamole - which was bland, I had the tacos and she had the shrimp fajitas. Our bill was $136.00. We expected to pay more for our drinks cause we wanted better tequila, however we were not told we would be paying $8.95 original price plus $13 for the upgrade. We were shocked!!!! The atmosphere is pleasant and Pablo was pleasant until I compained about the price, he told me down the street their prices were higher. The atmosphere does not warrant a come back.

Pros: Very clean and festive

Cons: Presentation of food is excellent, however quality is not there - very bland

The line for dinner on a Saturday night was loooooooooong (reservations would have been a good idea) but totally worth it. The food was marvelous, the margaritas were potent and the staff was phenomenal. Also, the chef of the restaurant came out to talk to us about the menu and it is worth going to the restaurant just to hear him talk (he's adorable!). It was a great time.
