Secrets in Dolton used to be a really nice place to go and party but now it is definetly overrated. Maybe I'm just getting older, the average age of the patrons i would say is about 24. Overrall the music is ok if you like gangsta rap and r n b all night long, if your into a little more upscale, this might not be the spot for you, dont get me wrong the club is exceptional, for a suburban club, it should be downtown, but the crowd is a little too immature and i've noticed some of the people there try to front or "stunt" a little too much. VIP area is nothing special anymore, anyone who buys a $50 bottle can get up there with a couple of friends. Even if you pay for drinks you can't chill at the bar, security i believe is trying to make a name for themselves for being the toughest crew around that dont take no mess or just the biggest adrenaline and testosterone pumped up jerks you ever wanna see. About 4 years ago it was the place to be, but now i'll leave it for the kids. If you're 21 -26 yrs old and like being around chics who think they are the best thing since sliced bread and guys who wanna be "ballers" I'd recommend it, but if you're grown and dont do hood spots I'd say not. Thursdays and Saturdays are the "hot" nights. Friday is more laidback, not so crowded.
Admission price was cool, drinks arent too expensive, club was nicely remodeled, friendly waitresses and bartenders, plenty of parking, good sound system, dj's were cool but security was too aggressive, crowd too young, place was too crowded
- Pros: price, waitresses and bartenders were friendly
- Cons: young crowd, security was a bit aggressive
