The Scene
Young professionals head to this hopping spot after dinner at nearby Randolph Street restaurants, which explains Fulton Lounge's surprisingly early fill time. Arrive before 11pm to get a seat or at least a standing spot where you won't get bumped into, stepped on or otherwise knocked around by drunk 30-somethings.
The Draw
Condo owners in the Fulton Street Market area are happy to have a hangout close to home. Its red neon sign signals the singles scene inside. Martinis flow while girls and boys mix and mingle to the appropriately loud and sexy music. Seating options at the wide rectangular space include high-backed velvety couches in a faux library setting and James Bond-mod chairs on the opposite end of the club. A long backlit bar ties the ends together.

Insider Tips
Where to SitIn warm weather, trying to snag something on the patio is a no-brainer, but though you may feel tempted to stake out a spot near the fireplace during winter, it's not really necessary--there's more than enough heat in the lounge to keep things toasty.

Nice chill atmosphere, music is great, usually downbeat or acid jazz. I prefer it on the weeknights, especially during a thunderstorm when it isn't crowded, and it is a great place to hang with your friends or take co-workers for discussions. Waitstaff courteous. Mojitos are made properly and martinis have a wide variety. The pizza from Follia next door is probably the best Northern Italian pizza in the city. Not far from UIC.
Pros: martini mondays, mojito wednesdays, atmosphere, nice private restrooms
Cons: can't think of any yet
