The Scene
Busy professionals with more taste than time and full-time mommies in search of a break order prepared foods at this family-run store. Bright and airy construction backdrops stone floors, and blue marble counters with crystal chandelier accents complete the space's charming, country French style.
The Goods
Gourmet products sandwich a U-shaped deli bursting with elegantly cooked meals, such as suckling pig with stone fruit compote and roasted leg of lamb with olive tapenade. Veggie-friendly dishes like a tower of portobello, polenta, roasted red pepper, zucchini and mozzarella are also available, and corn and lobster chowder promises to warm up even the chilliest of days. Tasty wild rice salad with dried cherries and apricots, or sesame-laced Asian slaw make good side dishes, but no visit would be complete without a greedy bite of Giselle's signature chocolate fudge peanut swirl tart.

I made arrangements for Giselle's to cater lunch for a meeting with one of our most important clients and they never showed up. When we called them, they claimed they knew nothing about our order (although I had called a few days earlier with my credit card information and told them to please add a 15% gratuity to the order). When we called a few minutes later to ask again if they were sure they didn't have our order, they then tried to blame their error on someone who was out that day--even though the person who took the payment information was the same person we were currently speaking with on the phone!
