Editorial Review for All She Wrote – by Elisa Kronish

The Scene
Kitschy-cool charm comes from light wood floors, bright-white bookcases, wrought-iron chairs, baby blue walls and flower-print tablecloths. An overstuffed red couch gives guys a place to wait and pregnant women a comfortable spot to scour birth announcement options. Several shelves are stacked with books to browse.

The Goods
Whatever the event--from golf outing to engagement party to simply keeping in touch--there's stationery here to satisfy. Buy blank invitations or have them printed. Besides the typical Crane products, you'll find invites and cards by Meri Meri, Claudio Laub, Robin Maguire and whimsical Doc Milo, "Simply fabulous cards for simply fabulous people." One bookcase displays wedding planning guides, gifty body products and books like "101 Uses for a Bridesmaid Dress." You'll also find frames, photo albums, pregnancy-related books and baby bibs. Make it special with pretty wrapping paper or gift bags.

I have been consistently disappointed with the customer service provided in this store. The sales associates are not well trained in the policies of returns and in my experience it is at the expense of the customer. I will choose other providers of fine stationary in the future.

I have been consistenly unhappy with All She Wrote, particularly the customer service. The employees are often unfriendly and rude. With so many other superb stationery/paper venue options in Chicago, carrying beautiful and creative stationery and invitations at all price points, All She Wrote has moved to the bottom of my list.

Pros: Selection

Cons: Customer service, Turn-around time
