“They always have specials and the food is always wonderful!”
“Being a Southsider, I'm not very familiar with the good places up North but this place was spectacular.”
“It's clean, the service is great and the food is even better!”
“However, service can be a little slow since they only have one waitress so be prepared to order as quickly as possible.”
shady.
with a plethora of great pizza places in town, little things make a difference when deciding from whom to order...
for five years, i've been getting delivery from this place, and with each large pizza there's been a buy-20-get-a-free-cheese-pizza coupon attached. i finally accrued the coupons, and now they won't honor this years-long promotion. apparently, it's expired - no apologies, no regrets - and they also tried to charge me the full amount after ordering without explaining the promotion had expired. shady.
i understand the changing business environment, but a promotion is a promotion (and there's no expiration on the certificates). i expect better from a place that markets itself as a neighborhood establishment.
also - while the pizza isn't bad, the salad has been borderline mildewy in the past.
POOR - there are much better out there!!.
There are many pizza places in my neighborhood. This was the first one I found so I stuck with it. In the 6 months I've been ordering from them, they left something out of every order. In the final order, they forgot the soda and completely screwed up the toppings. I'm done.
I never write bad reviews (I'm a business owner too) but this became rediculous.
Best Pizza in Chicago. We found D'Agostino's this past summer and we can't get enough of it. They always have specials and the food is always wonderful! The pizza is the best around (its all in the sauce), also don't miss out on their milkshakes and tater tots. I will not order one from anywhere else any more. Don't miss out on Half-Price pizza on Wednesday for only $7.00 when you dine in. However, service can be a little slow since they only have one waitress so be prepared to order as quickly as possible.
Casual Italian restaurant with friendly prices for pizza, pasta, beer and dessert..
In Short
While D'Agostino's has been around Chicago since 1968, this River West location is clean, bright and new looking with light wood stools and high tables. The restaurant has a sprawling menu--salads, sandwiches, and pasta, plus ribs, steak, fish and chicken dinners--but it's the affordable pizza that has earned the place its loyal clientele. Pies are available in thin-crust, pan, and stuffed-crust styles, all kissed with a sweet, standout tomato sauce. Toppings go beyond the usual, with items like sliced beef, turkey breast, zucchini and goat cheese. For dine-in customers, there's Harp on tap and TVs for game-watching, plus eight flavors of Homer's ice cream for dessert.
kaykon. D'agostinos River North has the best pizza's and dinners around the city of Chicago. Each and every time i come into Chicago, even through I lived in the city for 40+ years I make sure to stop by for the best Italian beef sandwiches, salads and pizza's around.
Great Find in River West!. Being a Southsider, I'm not very familiar with the good places up North but this place was spectacular. It's clean, the service is great and the food is even better! I had the best spinach salad of my life last night and others in my party enjoyed their sandwiches. Can't wait to go back!!
