Infiltrating German-heavy Lincoln Square, this Irish hangout marries pub charm and lounge-y touches for young professional patrons. Dark wood, ocher walls and cozy lighting link the comfortable two-room space. Irish pop CDs and live Celtic strumming (often by students from neighboring Old Town School of Folk Music) provide the soundtrack for crowds steadily growing into midnight. Service, though charming, is so slow it may mar the experience.

Up front, seven booths flank the bar, which serves nearly a dozen import and domestic drafts, a good bottled selection and standard--though pricey--cocktails.
