“The deserts are also great.”
“The cooking oil is so bad the fried chicken tasted like a week old.”
Pity can be exercised here. If not for the gentle lady serving us... Well, the whole place seems to be a tribute to the owner's mother except for the food. Did we come on a bad day? Consistency? The cooking oil is so bad the fried chicken tasted like a week old. The Tapsilog beef taste like old. The Tocino is not bad but the cooking oil again is questionable. Nice place to reminisce old times but a sad place to eat.
Comfortable, family-oriented Filipino restaurant is a staple for Rosehill resdients..
In Short
Owner Josie De La Cruz dedicated this casual spot to her mother, who operated a restaurant herself in the Philippines for years. Decked out in plastic flowers, tablecloths and Filipino mementos such as super-sized wooden spoons and forks, the open space is where in-the-know locals and families munch on pancit palabok, sinigang, kare kare and other specialties. The room also features a refrigerated case filled with desserts like leche flan, halo-halo and ensemada.
