The Scene
New York's Coyote Ugly opened in 1993 and was featured in the name-spreading movie in 2000. Now, these country-fried dives are popping up in 10 major cities. Chicago's is a virtual rough, red shack, complete with corrugated metal walls and rafters hung with bras--not snooty in the least.
The Draw
Rowdy, tight-blue-jeaned lady bartenders sling liquor and sass, cajoling patrons into buying them shots to increase the outrageousness of the floor show. When not serving, they kick a leg atop the bar in a rockin' hoe-down, twirl on gymnastics poles, spank the willing with leather straps and engage in steamy body shots. The more uninhibited the crowd, the more boisterous things get. The adjoining Roadkill Cafe, a full-service restaurant also full of the business' attitude, features a menu of typical bar food ranging from chili and burgers to sirloin steak.

What to DrinkIf you order water, expect to be sprayed with it and publicly mocked by the bartenders: "This bar don't serve no water," they say. Stick with a bottle of brew or a Jack and Coke.
When to GoWeekends after 11pm are the wildest, when more female customers join the bar-top grind.

we went to coyote ugly mothers day weekend. we had one of the best times ever. the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. the drinks were reasonable. the atmosphere was totally alive and the crowd was having a blast. i would reccommend this bar to anyone who wants to truly have one of the best times in chicago.
Pros: friendly staff, great service, reasonable pricing.
Cons: if you don't mind standing room only after 10 pm get there early, seating is limited

This is what a bar should be. There is a lot of loud rock music, old and all good; never a boring moment. The ladies are smokin' hot and the atmosphere is infectious- the staff have a good time and you will have a good time.
Pros: atmosphere, patrons, drinks
Cons: wait to get in, parking
