Great place for students!!!. The salon is actually under a new name...SALON LOTUS...It's all the same staff. I go to Northwestern so it's super convient that its located so close to campus. They have some really great specials going on right now so its totally budget friendly! I used to go to Olga (the waxer) when she worked there and she was not friendly and was always moving my appointment around,which was so annoying that i actually stopped going there for waxing. But i found out that they got a new girl so i tried her and she gave me a great Brazzillian! Her name is Sandra,she is so nice and has more hours availible which is so much better with my classes. I just really like it there the entire staff is so friendly.

Great customer service, smart staff/ stylists, excellent color service. I love going to George Salon. The atmosphere is so comfortable; all the staff and stylists make you feel very relaxed. They are very professional, but not pretentious (like many North Shore salons). Anyway, I've gone to a few different stylists there and I have never had a bad experience. It's also nice that they offer a variety of price ranges (with different stylist levels) to meet every budget. I've gone to several different level stylists, and all have done a great job. I've been going here for the past few months to get back to blonde after dying my hair nearly black, and somehow they have nurtured it back to blonde without destroying my hair. Plus, they are very knowledgable about products for my hair- I am addicted to their Kerastase products! Oh, and they always have good music playing!

Oh no!. Olga does not work there anymore! Oh my, well barely any reason to come back anymore.

The salon is now run by a new owner and the manager seems to have more control than ever.

I do not suggest going because without Olga here, there is no joy of having a good laugh.

I wonder how business will hold up now since there shall probably be many changes.

I have recently been in touch with Olga and she is still working. You can probably still come to see her.

Do Not Go Here!. Bad service and bad hair cut! I was so disappointed when I went here that I will never come here again! I had to go to Trio to have my haircut fixed. I am Asian and I read about the review that another Asian woman wrote about and said that she was disappointed with Trio but I felt she was wrong! I was told that my stylist here knew exactly what to do, but they had NO clue how to cut my hair! So, DO NOT go here! Save your time and despair and go to Trio!

don't go to David!. This salon doesn't have any "hair" magazines! They only have gossip magazines like People. What is up with that? This seems like an obvious tool for a salon to have to discuss hairstyles. I like hip cuts. I don't want to look like i am trying to look like a celebrity from People magazine. Very lame. So, now cuts can only be verbally described. David criticized my hair saying it looked like a mullet, which it was not. It just needed to be restyled with a proper cut.The part of my hair I did not like was the back. I was looking for the back to be styled. So what happened is David did not touch the back!! and cut inches off the sides by my ears!! Now I have a mullet! Senseless. In addition, one side is noticeabley longer than the other. I was not pleased with this at all. Other stylists advised him not have me leave until I was happy, as I clearly was not. Well, he had no other hair style ideas so he got me out the door. I phoned several times to schedule another appointment to give him another shot. My calls were never returned. Very bad customer service!!

A great place to call your salon. i love this place, the staff are professional and the work they have performed for me is outstanding. I will surely continue to go here and tell my friends about how great it is.

Great Stylist found!. I have been to various hair salons trying to find someone who knows how to cut Asian hair. I have been searched online to find feedbacks. I went to Trio according to the citysearch results, but was very disappointed. I decided to give George Salon a try, since I really want a good haircut bad this morning. I called this morning and got an appointment right away. The receptionist gave me recommendation based on what I told her that I needed. When I got there, Amalia was all ready and told me that she has been thinking about what she could do for me after she heard what I wanted for my hair. She is very fun and friendly. She takes time to give me a greatest hair shampoo I ever got here in the US (some rubbing and massage), then talked all the way through the haircut to let me know what she is doing and why). I love my haircut! She listens and is good at what she does. I would recommend her to all my friends!!

Great Cuts and Wonderful Personality. I started coming to George Salon in Evanston about a year ago. I moved around from salon to salon and I think I have found a home at this one. I got the best hair cut I have ever had and such an amazing shampoo that I almost fell asleep. There isn't that snotty attitude that some upscale salons have, rather the staff is fun and welcoming. My only complaints are that it is pretty bare in there- not a lot of "style" and that it looks a but unfinished, but I believe they are rather new to the location.

I Miss The Old George Salon. I used to be a client of this salon. I stayed after my favorite stylist left and I got good hair cuts with another stylist. After it moved to the new location, price went up and the level of service went down. My final hair cut only took 25 mins (shampoo to blow dry). After moving closer to the city, I found another salon that reminded me of the old George Salon.
