The Scene – From toddlers to frat boys to cardigan-wearing grandmothers, just about everyone seems to dig this south suburban Bridgeview eater. In the atrium-style space with high ceilings and tall windows loaded with faux foliage, diners order food from one counter and grab beers at the bar. Sports fans and news hounds keep an eye on one of the seven TVs scattered around the room. This is one of the best barbecued rib place in town. The ambience is great - casual dining. You can also get burgers, roasted chicken, and other menu items but they are best known for their barbecued ribs and pulled pork burgers.

Best BBQ place

by MDF3530 at Citysearch

My family and I love going to The Patio. I usually get either the Italian beef or Italian sausage, my parents get the ribs, my sister gets the Monterey burger, my brother-in-law the ribs & chicken combo, and their three kids get the chicken strips from the kids' menu. Give me the Italian beef or sausage, topped with the magnificent house bbq sauce and a Dr Pepper and I'm good to go.

  • Pros: Good food
  • Cons: crowded on weekends

The Details on Patio Restaurants

What to Drink:

Wine and beer must be ordered separately, at the bar. Go for a brew--Heineken, Bass and Guinness are among those on tap. Not only do they do a great job of washing down barbecue, they're served super-cold in frosted pint glasses.

The Extras:

In a hurry? The restaurant also features drive-through service. Be on the lookout for signs guiding drivers toward an easy exit. And be careful--Harlem Avenue can be tricky to cross.
