Inexpensive lunch

What a treasure. Very inexpensive and well prepared American style food. Open for lunch only, and brunch on Sunday, this restaurant is run by Volunteers from the Miseriocordia Heart of Mercy organization. It is also a venue in which developmentally disadvantaged adults can learn new skills. I had shrimp d'jong which was delicious and arrived with half a plate of wonderful fresh fruit presented on a crisp lettuce leaf. The restaurant is bright and cheery with a lovely solarium to the side. There is also a small gift shop. So you can have a great lunch, support a worthwhile cause, and pick up a hostess gift all at the same time. I highly recommend this venue.

Great Restaurant with greater mission

Great casual spot for lunch on weekdays & brunch on Sundays. Or if you don't have time to sit, they have delicious baked goods (made on premises) to go. The homemade brownies & breads are my favorite.

In addition, the Greenhouse Inn restaurant is staffed in-part by residents of Misericordia Home, an organization which provides care & job opportunities for persons with disabilities. The residents always make me feel welcome with their smiles & conversation. The Sunday brunch is a nice place to take friends. The food is very good & the desserts are excellent.

A hidden gem on the North side of the city!
