What's the big deal?. Not too impressed. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich-nothing special, very little sauce, very fatty, not a big portion. I've had better at the Patio! My friends ordered the 1/2 chicken & pot roast. Good but by no means exceptional. Mac & cheese side dish was great-but the portion was tiny. The food was served witjhin minutes of ordering-almost too fast. Not worth making a special trip for.

Awesome Food. It has been a while since I have been to Chuck's. I decided to give the new location (and new staff) a try. Food and service were great.

Had the Chicken Enchiladas and they are awesome. You get three big enchi's with a chocolate mole sauce on top. There's also a bit of light heat to them, smooth! Also the rice and the beans were nicely spiced as well.

There is one comment from 2007 about the lousy service. The old location was plagued by bad or inconsistent waitstaff and sometimes the kitchen. That seems to have gone away in the new place. Go and eat happy here. Lots of room. You can do a party here. Also there is a bar attached called Voodoo Lounge.

the best of everything. you will not find a better deal in the chicago area! for starters the bar has some of the most unique drinks at a resonable price,margaritas are fantastic- try it with mezcal, the menu covers so many types of food it will keep anyone happy, apps are incredible and very original, special will never let you down and will cover so many different ethnic categories, his mexican entrees are the some of the best i have ever had [conchinita pibil] , his cajun is the best in the city, the BBQ is also the best i have ever had- try anything you will not be disappointed, this man is the soup NAZI, you can try soups that you wouldnt eat in a million years and it will be the best you ever had and when you get to deserts even if your full order one anyway,you wont be disappointed [bananas foster] , two people with drinks ,apps. ,2 entrees and desert will leave with a bill under $ 65 ,where can you find a deal like that for that quality of food.

Usually excellent with an occasional off day.. You can't miss for BREAKFAST here. The pancakes are spectacular. Please do yourself a favor if you like sweet potatoes and order the sweet potato pancakes. Yummmmyy! I confess I usually order two eggs easy over with ham and the biscuits and gravy. FRESH ORANGE JUICE here folks and at a decent price. Lunch and dinner are usually excellent, menu specials like one day Chuck had soft-shelled crabs for lunch. My cousin was very very happy. Most of the time this casual place hits the bulls-eye in food satisfaction.

Our Favorite Restaurant!. I love the menu's variety. While the BBQ and cajun fares are delicious, I personally enjoy the Mexican dishes the best -- delicious! The chicken enchiladas with mole sauce are heavenly, and I'm not a huge fan of mole. The brownies are excellent!

I'd recommend that Chuck (or whoever operates the place) train the servers better. They seem slightly rude and unattentive sometimes. Also, since the restaurant appeared on Check Please, the place is jammed packed. Time to expand??

best bbq on the sw side. I've been going to chucks for the past 7 years and I've eaten probably just a bout everything on the menu. The pulled pork is definately the best I ever had, the brunswick stew is also very good. The portions are good size, the prices are reasonable, and the customer service is great . Theonly thing that his menu needs are twice baked potatoes to compliment all the southern bbq. I would highly recommend this place to anybody that loves genuine slow cooked bbq.

Bad Service, Frozen Food. This restaurant has a few redeeming qualities, namely the brunswick stew and pork bbq, but your drink will sit empty for the entire meal, and your waitress will not come back to your table to bring you your bill. When you go up to the counter to pay, they tell you the waitress has to bring the bill. Also, their food is frozen and reheated when ordered. I got my beef brisket served at below refrigerator temperature, and they had to bring it back and put it in the oven again.

Real good food. Chuck's has some of the best BBQ in the state. The BBQ beef brisket is unreal. If you are not in the mood for BBQ may I suggest the chicken fried chcken. Not to be eaten on a diet however, if I were on death row I would request it for my last meal. It is that good. Only negative is the place is a little on the small side.

REAL Barbecue!!. Chuck's Barbecue is what I remember from countless trips to Tennessee. It's pork shoulder,

s l o w roasted, and then shredded from the bone.

The chicken and beef brisket are equally fantastic. When you walk in the restaurant, and take a DEEP Breath, you'll know you're in the right place.
