“the people there are pretty nice overall, alittle pushy but what can you expect.”
James & Son's Rude Little Man. The first (and last) time I went into this store, I was looking for an amethyst gemstone pendant (for myself) and had a rude little man with moustache do me a big favor to wait on me, and he was rushing me because there were people looking at diamonds (it was taking me a long time because I was not impressed with their selection). Not much of a selection and prices too high and salespeople rude. I complained to the manager (a lady) and she just smiled at me and said (insincerely), "Oh, that's too bad...". Well, TOO BAD, but I will never go to this store again.
Great store!. Me and my husband both shop exclusively at this store. We always deal with Lauren, who is always very helpful and goes above and beyond to help us find what we are looking for. She helped my husband pick out a "pushing gift" after having my daughter, and I love it. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. Would not go anywhere else.
Great Store, Go here!. My wife (then girlfriend) and I went to James and Sons because they are one of the only places near Orland to carry Tacori. Tiffany and Alisa are wonderful and helped me pick out a knock-out ring that she gets compliments on daily. J&S is my go to jeweler...don't bother going anywhere else!
Best place for jewelry in Chicagoland!. The staff is very friendly and helpful at James & Sons! Alisa helped me find exactly the piece I was looking for within their great variety of jewelry.
Extremely satisfied with Diamond Ring.
We recently purchased a diamond ring from James & Sons in Orland Park and couldn't be more satisfied.
Lauren was wonderful to work with and was able to help us find exactly what we were looking for. We couldn't be happier with the quality for the price and look forward to making future purchases at this store.
pushy sales people. . Went in to buy a simple gold chain and your short little man that works wanted me to look at watches when I went in for a chain is rude. I mentioned it to your store manager and she shrugged it off. never again will I be going to you store or recommend it to anyone.
I would not go back...
Well How to start this?
I bought my first watch at James and Sons in December 05 and I did not really know much about the quality one should expect from a Watch dealer then. I went in and looked at a few tags and a few Tissot's and finally picked up a black Tissot T-Race out of the rest of them. I needed it sized but James and Sons did not have a person working at the time so I was told to come back the next day. I called them the next day and after being on hold for about 5mins I was told the person that does the sizing was off that day also, So I call back the day after that and finally spoke to the manager and he said to just come back and he will do it. I went back and he cut the rubber band to the size I needed, but later on I looked at the cut at it was not in a strait line, in fact I probably could of done a better job myself. Regardless of the price on my Tissot ($350) being "low" scale the people at James and Sons atleast in my mind should of been alittle more strait and truthful about the sizing, also alot better with the cut they made.
I also received a few phone calls later after from the people there telling me about slaes events..just what I wanted another telemarketer calling me..
I believe they stopped carrying the Tissot brand and only sell Rolex and Tag (not sure of other brands), and I stopped carrying the Tissot on my wrist and carry Panerai and Breitling now..
I went on to buy four other watchs from other Chicago Dealers (each watch ranging from $1500 to $5,500) and have gotten much better service even when I would stop by just to see cheaper brands like Tissot.
the people there are pretty nice overall, alittle pushy but what can you expect. they offer you something to drink which is nice and even the guard says Hello to you when you walk in. I did not like the service after I bought the watch but up until then the place was great.
I hope they read this to improve for future customers.
