I have never visited Rodica?s spa and I never will. I have never visited Rodica?s spa and never will. I bought my friend a gift certificate last Christmas via Rodica?s website after reading all the great reviews. By January, neither my friend nor I had received it, so I contacted Rodica about the status of it and she said she had no record of it and to please resubmit. After months of emails, phone calls and voicemails, and even a faxed copy of my bank statement (without personal information) as proof of my purchase, she promised to resend it. Again, nothing. My subsequent emails and phone calls went unanswered.

I filed a complaint with a popular consumer advocacy group and was appalled at how blatantly Ms. Rodica lied and told them the gift certificate was sent in December! The Bureau forwarded her the emails she sent me in which she said she had no record of my order. She never responded.

Money is not the issue here, although I will get it back! I am disgusted at the thought that Rodica is willing to cheat a would-be client out of money for services that were never rendered. I felt my requests were fair. I asked that the previous certificate be voided (if it existed) and a new one be issued, or that I be refunded. Instead, Rodica chose to keep the money for herself! Before you visit Rodica, I would consider the type of person you would be doing business with and think about the consequences should your experience not echo those of the other reviewers.

The best service ever.. as well as products.. I spent 4 wounderful hours at the European Skin & Body Care Center...

The service was more than i had ever dreamed... Would i go back...YES..

Would highly recomemend.

Tiny Water Tower Place spa with experienced, down-to-earth service.. The Scene
Tucked into the office complex adjoining the mall, the spa is small but comfortingly decorated and pretense-free. Beauty-industry veteran and spa owner Rodica leads the charge on individualized attention, ushering clients between the handful of compact treatment rooms with personal chitchat. Loyal clients stop by to schedule appointments or to buy the house-line of natural cleansers and creams imported from Europe.

The Services
The spa claims to have been one of Chicago's first to offer seaweed treatments, still included among nearly two-dozen wraps, massages and other body services. And while those are fairly administered by long-time staffers--soothing massage extras include warm compresses and, for just a few dollars more, aromatherapy oils--European-style facials are Rodica's (both woman and spa) specialty. The customized application of botanical products and aromatherapeutic hot-towels gives skin a new lease on life in mere minutes. The spa also offers an above-average range of men's services.

Kinga is amazing. I went for a Brazilian (which I have been doing off and on for over 4 years). I tried this salon on a whim, my typical place was booked, and Kinga was the sweetest. She really knew her stuff and took her time to make sure I was pleased. There was no pressure and it was by far my best Brazilian experience ever. I will be back, as long as she works there.

European treat.... I've been going to this Spa for about 3 years now and wanted to share the wonderful experience that I've always had at this place.First of all the owner is for about 35 years in the spa business and the spa staff is all from Europe,trained there as well too.Everybody it's very knowledgeable and friendly here,I really feel special everytime I visit them.Last week ,when I had a facial there,I was pleasantly surprised by the new esthetician,Kenga, who was very attentive and she really knew what she was doing.I feel really lucky that after all the spas that I've tried ,I finally found one that I'm satisfyed with.
